Austin let go of her and smiled back, his also tinged with sadness
"I am glad, now we have to get people together for a debriefing, lets go outside"
he held the book under his arm and led the way outside, once outside he cleared his throat and spoke
"Now ladies and gents of the circle, between us we have beaten one of the best slayers ever and resoundingly. This will send a message to future combatants that we are a force to be reckoned with. I am impressed with each of your conduct today, despite the overwhelming odds, we worked as a team and we elminated that evil bastard and those who follow him, now we should celebrate those who stand and commemorate our brothers who have fallen as they deserve to be. in the words of a wise man 'we do the impossible, that makes us mighty' "
he smiled softly, sadness still showing in his eyes
"now, lets head for the bar"

Adrienne smiled slightly and kept one arm pressed over her ribs.she felt dizzy not only from blood loss but from her headache.she lowered her head into one hand rubbing her temples.she took a steadying breath and opened her eyes trembling slightly."say Austin..we have any medkits nearby?"she spoke softly her voice steady but slightly hoarse.

Adrienne rested her head tiredly against Austin's shoulder.she kissed his cheek softly,silently letting him know she was there.she looked at Darkota and said quietly:"it's a few blocks away from here."she smiled wanly,needing to clean up her various cuts before she passed out again and needing a good drink right about now.

Austin took a small wipe from his medikit and started to clean Ara's cuts gently, ignoring the comments of the others, he kissed her forehead
"Love you"
he murmured, just quiet enough for her to hear. he turned to the others
"Az, lead the others to the bar, Ara and myself will be along shortly"
