[Jaden Kalen]

Jaden blocked the swing of the demon's nightstick with his Knife. He pushed up on the blade so that his attacker staggered backwards a few steps. Jaden used this opening. He quickly dived backwards so he landed on his back, drawing his colt again dropping his knife at his side and reaching for the blessed bullets that were on his belt. He pulled one out and loaded it into the empty chamber, but the time he had closed the chamber his attacker was upon him again.

Jaden pulled the trigger just as the guard was about to strike, the bullet shot into his chest.

Jaden waited for a few seconds, nothing happened. Unbeknownst to Jaden he had spun the barrel and the blessed bullet was next in the chamber. The Demon laughed. He raised the nightstick above his head for a powerful strike on a powerless man. Jaden decided he had no option; he pulled the trigger unloading all bullets into the demon. It was the next shot that did it. But Jaden didn’t know where the actual bullet was; better use the entire barrel than be dead.

The red flames licked up the man from the wound. He went to cry out, no on sound came. Then he was gone.
Jaden then flicked himself up, loading that colt with the blessed bullets. The other still had regular. But he had no time to load that one yet, and besides they may meet more humans yet that those would actually kill.

[Alucard "Pyr0" Valentine]

((I’m writing here to remind people this thread is still going, and so people know what Alucard is doing while waiting))

Alucard slumped down on the stair next to Azrael, smirking at his broken watch.

“No worries old buddy, I’m sure we can get that fixed up when we are finished here.” He said, nudging Azrael. He spoke with an air of confidence in an attempt to keep the spirits high. He heard the thumping noises above him through the ceiling, probably Jaden and that doing some killing.

Yawning, Alucard put the shotgun down next to him, propped up against the wall. He pulled out a small book which was somehow perfectly dry, followed by a fancy looking fountain pen and started writing. His writing was scruffy but he could probably read it if no one else could. He checked his own still working watch from time to time while writing. Other than the sounds of pen scratching onto paper, there was no noise coming from him. His growing anxiety of running into Kitten was becoming more and more obvious, with a growing frown and shaking hands.

[Austin]

Austin knelt beside Alucard and patted him on the shoulder
"Listen, I need something answered, are you with us? I need to know if I can rely on you, the shit is going to hit the fan when we get up there, I need your mind on the job, our lives may depend on it and six billion other lives may depend on it too"
he asked quietly, watching the man carefully
if we run into kitten, I really don't know what's going to happen, if the stakes were any lower I'd be sending him back to HQ right now...

[Kunoichi]

One floor up the three were still fighting, Kunoichi was having trouble fending off four of the guards, using her reflexes and adrenalin to their maximum, ducking and diving around the guards' attacks, managing to land kicks and punches but all of her dagger attacks being blocked.
"Jaden, this isn't fun..."

[Leiana DarkFang]

Leiana was in her element, the sounds of the old battles ringing in her ears as she fought off the demons, managing to dispatch one of them with a dagger to the head

[Alucard "Pyr0" Valentine]

Alucard paused for a moment, not looking up to his commander. He thought logically for a moment about the past several minutes.

Austin has absolutely no reason in the world to lie to me. No reason at all. He can’t be mistaken, he is rarely mistaken. She has always been a strange girl, but she’s still a friend. I don’t want to see her die, but I don’t want her to come around and hurt my other friends.

“Commander, I want to give her a choice. While I know you have no reason to lie to me, I can’t believe she would have been manipulating me for as long as I have been in this town. We should give her the choice to just walk away. If not then I leave it up to you to decide her next few seconds of fate.” Alucard spoke, trying to remain strong but every word he said broke him a little bit more. He closed his journal and put it away with the pen, then grabbed his only means of defence; the shotgun Austin had given him to replace his own broken weaponry.

“Lets go and make a sweep of the next floor, there can’t be that many more guards by now.” He said enthusiastically, changing the trail of thought in his mind.

[Vladimere Bloodmire]

Vlad walked down the stairs with twenty-three demons following him. He relished the fact that they followed him. He walked down the corridors a triumphant smile on his face. Rino had won and demons now followed Vlad the same as they had once followed his father. He felt his fathers approval serge through him. For you father he thought to himself.

He heard the sound of gunfire from the corridor below. He scowled, “Three of you go ahead, we will soon follow”

Three of the demons nodded a savage smile on their faces. They advanced down the corridor, around the corner and down the stairs. One carried a long sword, one a mace and the other a quarterstaff.

Vladimere now went about organising his followers. Any with close range weapons stood before him, any with distance behind. He shouldered his coat off revealing his one wing and stretched it out as far as he could in these cramp corridors. He began marching his men down the corridor to confront whatever assaulted Rino’s efforts.

[Franchesca "Kitten"]

Kitten, still in her small cat form, leisurely strode past Vlad, before turning back into her human form. She looked him in the eye with a serious look.

“One of them is called Alucard, He is mostly harmless. He’s the one with fairly long dark hair and a trench coat, in his twenties, don’t you dare kill him. Leave him to me.” She said, sounding very stern. She broke eye contact to look at the lackeys.

“You might need more guys” she calmly said. “Austin’s a handful. But you might get lucky. I won’t be joining you though. Just be damn careful alright? If it gets too much don’t be ashamed to fall back and try again later on. Its sort of what I’m doing.” She smirked as she looked around. Spotting a ladies locker room she quickly ran into it, got changed and came out in a smart looking uniform.

“Anything you might need before I go and hide?” she asked, looking down at her body. The clothes were a bit of a loose fit but that didn’t matter.

[Azrael Jiraco]

((Mostly harmless? XD Love it! ... Obviously she doesn't know him with explosives of flame type weapons!))

Azrael was overjoyed to see Alucard join them.
"Dude," he suddenly blurted out, latching onto him tightly.

Azrael listened to Austin's concern carefully, and from it managed to assume that Kitten must be one of them.
That's terrible... Azrael thought, knowing that Alucard must be feeling terrible about now. Azrael also couldn't keep his mind off Joey. Once they deal with Rino... IF they deal with Rino, Azrael decided he couldn't stay for the after party. He had to help his friend, whatever danger he was in.

"Alucard..." Azrael said, stepping into the conversation.

"I just want you to know that as much as I know of your concern for Kitten, I can not allow her to halm any of us. Please forgive me for anything I might do in the future that you don't... Approve of," Azrael asked him.

Azrael also spoke to Asutin.
"Dude, after here you won't get another chance. I beg of you not to let Ara come with us. She will surely be Rino's target... He knows that losing her is worse than death itself to you."

Azrael knew there was little he could do to change Austin's mind after he replied, so he prepared himself for the worst.

[Austin]

he's right, but I can't let my personal feelings get in the way of this, just as Alucard can't, the stakes are rather high here...

Austin shook his head
"I share your concern brother, but the bottom line is that she's a member of the circle, we're a dying breed. I can't let my personal feelings get in the way of the mission, we're gonna need everyone's skills and expertise if we want to have the slightest hope of defeating Rino."

He turned to Ara
"Darling, if you want to stay behind just say so now. I don't want to lose you, but I'm not going to order you either way"

[Azrael Jiraco]

Azrael liked Austin's answer and smiled. He already knew that Ara wasn't about to turn around... Not now.

Azrael felt the grip of his sword. He loved his blades very much. When they had fought Rino in the pub, Rino had shattered one of his blades and it still hasn't escaped Azrael's mind. They were supposed to be unbreakable...

What didn't leave Azrael's mind was more anger than fear though.

[adrienne]

Adrienne's eyes flickered toward Azrael then she turned to Austin and she lowered her hand from her revolver grip, her gaze very calm.
She waited a few moments before answering.
"I'm going with you Austin. I don't want to lose you either but I can't just sit here waiting for news of the battle love. I'm going with you, risks or not." She said calmly.

[Jaden Kalen]

Jaden fired another bullet into one of the demons chests. Once again the flames licked up them and they disappeared. Jaden then noticed another three of them coming down the stairs.

"Looks like reinforcements!" He called to Kunoichi and Leiana.

[Vladimere Bloodmire]

Vlad smiled at his sisters defeat. "Dear sister deliver a message to Rino that the battle is already won" That was all he said before he raised his sword and pointed it down the corridor.

The demons began there slow march down the corridor following Vlads orders.

"Thank you my dear messager bird" He said smiling to Kitten.

[Austin]

"then it is decided"
he smiled inwardly
that's my girl

Something made him pause and press the comm panel on his headset
"Jaden, Kunoichi, Leiana, report?"
