Vincent regained his calm.
"I am glad that you like him. For now he is yours, show him the place" He brought his attention back to the matter at hand.
Anger took hold of him.
"Kana, my dear brother, do you know why I have you running errands for me? Acting as my lapdog?" He paused as if daring Kana to answer but not giving him time to. He got out of his chair and walked around the desk slowly walking in circles around Kana. "Its because you seem not to see all what I see. You dont finish what you start. I tell you to do something, and you lie to me. I give you simple tasks because that is all you can grasp, all you can handle. You are a silly little boy trying to be a man. I wish that I could trust you dear brother. I wish that I could. But it seem that you are even less trust worthy than our bitch of a sister!" His anger seemed to flare at mentioning there sister. "So dear brother why did you do it? What profit would you have to gain from it? MY seat? MY ring? MY title?" He spat. "Did you lead him here? Plotting to kill me? For what reason? So you could cower before him as you cower before me? Is it for vengeance? Because I am better than you? Because I am the true Lémartes? No! It is because you are weak! Because you fear ME and will not stand before Me and challenge ME. If you did I could at least call you a man, at least call you my brother" He stopped in his rant.
He paused for a moment and flicked a piece of hair out of the way.
When he spoke again calm hand taken hold.
" For what reason did you keep Joey Risk alive?"

Kana gave a curt nod to Vincents remark about Zack. He stood in silence as Vincent stood up from his desk. He followed his brother with his eyes, but did not turn his head. As Vincent circled him, he stared straight forward, not moving a muscle. Not until he mentioned the name Joey Risk. He snapped his head around to face Vincent. "Risk? Brother... I was assured that man was dead!" The suprise in Kana's voice was sincere. When he spoke again, there was an edge of hysteria to his voice. "I was assured by the assassins that he was dead! The whole Risk family was dead! They all saw the bodies!" He stopped and calmed himself, closing his eyes. When he opened them again, he looked Vincent directly in the face. "I swear to you, brother, I thought he was dead."

For a second the sincerity in Kanas voice shocked him. He had half expected his brother to confess all. Or to try and make excuses. But instead he had told the truth. Should this worry him? He was unsure.
He took his time answering. Too many strange things happening. First the new law firm in town, next his gem being stolen from the museum with no leads, then the circle attacking the devils advocates. All this happening in his town, and the council not knowing why.
But now things happening more close to him. Joey, a man who's family owe me there lives. Was it him that I saw? No it cannot have been. Joey Risk was dead, his entire family, dead. Kana had seen to it. He knew that he should have sent Thorne, but it was just one man his wife and child. How hard could it have been?
Vincent finally decided that he was dead. After all who could harm Vincent? No one.
He walked around his desk and took his seat again. He had regained his composure. After he was and is Vincent Lémartes of the house Lémartes. He drank what was left of his whiskey.
"Brother" He paused, "Go fetch Zackary. Call the assassins, let us see if Zackary will do as I ask and rid me of those who do not serve me"
He took a long pause, then looked deep into Kana's eyes. Brother, do not fail me this time. Go take Zack and let me be rid of betrayers. "You should not need reminding of there names considering you picked them from my personal squad"

Kana watched his brother, shaken, as he seated himself again. He could see that his thoughts were deep, but he couldn’t hear them. He could also see that Vincent had been shocked by his reaction. He thought I had betrayed him… He thought, keeping his thoughts guarded. He brushed the thought off quickly. Confronting Vincent on the matter would only cause more trouble, and most likely result in Kana’s death. He may be arrogant and narcissistic, but Kana was not stupid. He knew when to hold his tongue.
He returned Vincents look. I will not fail you this time, brother. He inclined his head to Vincent in what was more of a shallow bow than a nod, and turned to leave. I swear it.

"Brother, aren't you forgetting something?" He said indicating Zackary's weapons that were still on his desk.
"Kerry Mcdonalds and Griff 'The Shadow' Jones, should still be in the club. Henry Cox and Sathlos Oman, are on private hire. You will need to arrange a meeting with them, find them, kill them, then report back to me!" He said remembering who Kana had selected. Kerry the knife woman, Griff the silent killer, Henry sniper and Sathlos the feeder.
He had already regained his composure and was back to his old self. With that he had dissmissed his brother and he now turned his attention to other matters.

Kana turned back to Vincent, smirking sarcastically. "Of course, brother. Zackary must have his weapons, after all." He strode to the desk and picked them up. He had also regained his composure, sarcasm and arrogance. It was as if the last few minutes had not happened.
He listened carefully to what Vincent told him, and nodded. "It will be done, Brother."
He turned and left, making his way back through the corridors to the main bar. As he entered the big room, he approched one of the security guards. "Fetch Kerry McDonald. Take her to room 3 and wait with her. Tell her that I will be there shortly to discuss my brothers business." He told him, raising his voice slightly to be heard over the loud music still blasting from the speakers.
The guard nodded and left. Kana watched him leave and then strode to the bar where Zack was still sitting. He dumped Zack's weapons on the bar infront of him.
"We have work to do." He said, a malevolant smile on his face.

Zack blinked slowly at the pile of weapons dumped in front of him, before recognising them as his own, one hand reaching out to grasp one of the knives. His eyebrow arched slightly at Kana's statement, before he stood and stretched, his spine cracking slightly.
"Sounds serious," he commented, looping the extra belt on which his guns were attached around his waist, before gathering up a small amount of the loose knives and slipping them into holsters on his forearms, and other various spots on his body with the quick and fluid ease of someone who knew what he was doing. He paused however, and chuckled at the final knife, keeping it in his hand as opposed to returning it to his boot - the knife that got him into this whole mess.
He made a small mental note of the smile on Kana's face, before tilted his head with a smirk,
"You seem pleased. What sort of 'work' is this anyway?"

Kana's smile grew wider. "You'll find out soon enough. Follow me." He turned and left the bar once again, not bothering to look behind him to see if Zack was following. He knew he would.

"Hm. Cryptic." Zack shrugged, rolling his shoulders with a crack and quickly stubbing his ciagrette out in the ashtray, before stuffing his hands in his pockets and following Kana out of the bar. A little corner of him was relieved to be leaving the loud, ear-grating music behind, and another part of him was screeching at him to run the heck away. Luckily, he had more common sense than that.

Kana strode throught the corridors, head held high. He could hear Zack's footsteps behind him. He approched one of the smaller, private rooms, and opened the door. The security guard from earlier was stood near the door, and Kerry McDonald was seated on one of the chairs scattered around. She stood when Kana entered.
He acknowledged her with a look, and then turned to the guard and dismissed him.
"Ms McDonald." Kana smiled evilly. "Mr Lemartes." Kerry seemed calm, but Kana could smell the apprehension she felt. He gestured to the chair she had just risen from. "Have a seat. We have... business to discuss..." Kana made no efforts to disguise the malevolant enjoyment in his voice. Kerry sat down again, and then caught sight of Zack.
"Who's he?"
Kana glanced at him. "He works for my brother. That is all you need to know. He is here to learn." He had begun circling her slowly, and stopped behind her. He leaned close to her, and whispered in her ear. "As are you."
With that, he moved backwards, and hit the side of her head, throwing her sideways off the chair.

Zack leant himself quietly against the wall, eyes watching carefully as Kana spoke in overly formal tones that reaked of danger to the woman - McDonald, was it? He tried not to remember the name and face, as he had a feeling she'd either be dead or recognisable by the end of this meeting. He was perceptive enough to realise that much, at least.
Instead, he pulled his lighter out of his pocket, clicking a flame a couple of times before bringing out one of his usual brand cigarettes and lighting it. Focusing on the cigarette stopped him from reacting when the woman was backhanded directly out of her seat.
He knew this much - he didn't plan on dying. And if he was going to get out of this whole deal with the Lemartes family all in one piece he was going to have to deal with whatever they chose to do. Even if he didn't like it all that much.

Kana stood over Kerry, his face a mask of sadism. He was enjoying this. He kicked her in the ribs, causing her to flinch and whimper quietly. “Get up.” His voice was colder than ice, and full of contempt. The assassin did as she was told, only to have Kana knock her back to the floor with a blow to the face. “Tell me, why is Joey Risk alive?” He snarled. Kerry’s eyes grew wide. “He’s dead, you know he’s dead. I saw him myself.” He voice was tinged with fear. Blood dribbled down her chin – Kana had split her lip with his last blow. He kicked her again. “Don’t. Lie. To. Me.” He spat. He grabbed the back of her hair and forced her to her feet, hitting her again with his free hand. “I’ll ask you again. Why is he alive?”

Zack tapped the end of cigarette, littering a little ash onto the floor. He managed to cover up his wince as the woman was tossed around like a rag doll, instead focusing his attentions on the conversation. He hadn't been here long, so he might as well pick up a little knowledge of what was going on.
He'd certainly never heard the name Joey Risk before. Or why he was wanted dead. That'd be something to ask about later, so long as it didn't get him tossed around like that woman. Dryly smirking at that thought, he replacing his cigarette and took a long, deep, calming drag.

Kerry stared at Kana, terrified. "He's dead. I swear to you, I watched him die!" Kana released her head. She slumped to the floor and began to crawl backwards away from him. Kana spun around and strode across the room, picking up a heavy metal instrument from a rack on the far wall. As Kerry backed herself up against a wall and sat, frozen in terror, Kana flickered to stand beside her and brought the hammer-like object down on one of her legs, shattering the bones. Kerry screamed in agony. "Tell me why Risk is alive, and this will end." Kana's voice was cold, calm and full of malice. It was also tinged with enjoyment. Kerry whimpered, but did not speak. Instead, she shook her head dumbly. A tear of pain slid down one cheek. Kana sighed. "I'm beginning to lose my patience, McDonald. All you have to do is tell me why you left Joseph Risk alive." Kerry shook her head again, and spoke, her voice barely more than an agonized whisper. "I'm telling you, he's dead. I saw him killed. I saw the body." Kana shook his head and dropped the hammer on the floor. He stood for a moment in thought, before flickering to stand beside Zack. He took the cigarette out of his mouth gently, causing ash to drop to the floor. "I trust you don't mind if I borrow this, do you Zackary?" Without waiting for an answer, he strode towards Kerry and waved it infront of her face. She whimpered in horror, fully aware of what was about to happen. Kana gave a barking, manic-sounding laugh and kicked her broken leg. She whimpered again. "I suppose vision is important to an assassin, isn't it?" He asked mockingly. Kerry nodded dumbly. Kana laughed again, and stabbed the cigarette into her right eye. Kerry screamed.

Zack paused, exhaling the smoke he'd collected slowly and deliberately into the air as if to say 'Yes, actually, I do kinda mind. Not like it matters anyway.' He trained his eyes on the curling smoke to distract him from what he knew was about to happen. Wincing slightly at the high pitched female shriek, he decided to speak up, voice calm and steady, which surprised him,
"Maybe she's telling the truth?" he asked, before shrugging in light defence, "Just lookin' at it from both angles." He shrugged, waving his hand in the smoke he'd exhaled to clear it, before digging for his lighter, but not another cigarette. He'd rather not give Kana anymore ammo. There was enough as there was.
