Oh, the Watch series is my favourite series of books ever. I dunno, I just felt let down by Snuff. I think it just felt like a draft. Things like Stinky the Goblin weren't really explained, the Summoning Darkness just vanished half way through the plot, etc. etc. It all felt a bit half hearted to me, compared to the other books, which were incredible.

First time I've ever felt disappointed in a Discworld novel.

I'm so sorry guys! I know very few people have been on the site for the last month but I'm so sorry for dropping off the face of the earth before that. I honestly have no excuse beyond getting so wrapped up with Uni I forgot about the site entirely.

8I seems like everyone but us has forgotten about the site. I'll see what I can do about rustling Becci up but I doubt it. She's been working pretty hard and Soul Campaign demands tags and constant activity or they kick you out. Minimum number of posts a month is 38 I think.

Ugh. I hate RP sites that enforce a certain amount of posts. I mean, what the hell is with that? It's a hobby for fun!

Aye, that's kinda pathetic - suffice to say ToTD will never be that demanding, I don't see why any site has a right to make those kind of claims on people's lives...

I can kind of understand. Its a very big and very popular site and the admin work very, very hard to moderate it. You don't want threads to just die because you're waiting on one person because its upsetting for the other RPers. Its just rather annoying and stressful that they request such a large amount.

Anyway. Yes shock and awe it be I and by that I mean I be me or rather it is me. Hello again ladies and gentlemen. If you remember I appeared on here several months back requesting that I be allowed to rejoin you bunch of very fine people and was given the green light.

I was going to begin posting again but after my reading of several threads to help me catch up with the story I discovered that Vincent had been killed off. Needless to say I was annoyed by this as I was going to ask if I would be allowed to use Vincent as my main as I prefer his character to any others that I have created.

I regret to say that the discovery put me in a rather foul mood thus my not returning until now.

Now I have returned I would ask (and I know this is probably not the correct place to do it) but if I am to come back is it possible to have Vincent back as I think his character has a lot of potential for growth and interesting story lines.

If however I am told that Vincent is to continue being no more I will not force an ultimatum that I get my way or I leave (after having just {For the second time} arrived). I will instead once again begin to use my remaining characters as I had before.

Sorry this post is massive.

Anyway I look forward to hearing from you all in the near future.

Edit: I agree btw Snuff was not as good as the other guards books and did suffer from not having much of the other watchmen in it. Though anything with Sam Vimes in is pure gold so I have to give it to Pratchett. It's still better than a lot of other books I've read 'The last four things' for one.

Hey Jaden, good to see you back again.

I think perhaps we could bring Vincent back, but not right away - we've already made something of a start without him, though it could bring in some good drama if we see his return at a later date.

To be honest I'm still not sure what we're doing for this season as we've yet to come to any form of a consensus, I'm thinking we should try and get as many people together as possible on MSN to come up with something to do (assuming people can still be bothered with this site...)

So in the meantime I guess, I'd suggest you carry on with your other characters until we've worked out what's happening...

Sounds like a sort of plan, the best kind of plan in my opinion.

I am ashamed to say I've just done a quick check to see when and what I last posted in the RP and I was shocked at how long ago it was.
It seems it was June 27 2009 in the broken bottle pub.

I've tried reading everything that has gone on since then but it feels like I'm climbing a mountain while swimming against the tide.

I have noticed one thing however that a lot of new stories have been started and then left due to inactive members of which I am aware I am one of the guilty parties.

Now I am going to propose something that my sound rich coming from someone whose only just got back but... I have a cunning plan. (I know those words are fatal but please hear me out for old times sake.)

I propose that we have another time skip. I am aware that one has only recently taken place in the RP but I think it might be a good idea. Then everyone has a fresh start to begin again if they so choose without being lost and not knowing where to start.

My other idea is at the same time begin a new thread someplace in Edgehaven explaining all that has gone on recently in the town where all the characters who are mostly online can roleplay together for a short period of time until either we have some of the older members (such as myself) back or it becomes clear it is just going to be us.

That way people coming back wont be bogged down with having to trawl through thread after thread to try and make sense of whats happening, where and why. Instead they can just jump into the story.

The only draw back is people going AWOL. Although if we make it highly action packed like the good old days when we were fighting Rino in the devils advocates then hopefully it'll keep people posting and maybe attract those who want a bit of fantasy violence (I'm thinking of Owlet there btw).

But if someone does stop posting for whatever reason if it's a thread with lots of action we can either post that they got split from the group then when they come back they can say what happened or we can post that they got injured and have been carried to safety.

Before it gets stated that I'm only asking for this so time skips forward enough so that Vincent comes back or that he is the evil that I'm suggesting we fight in this proposed thread I am not.
I think in fact that we should go to the original idea for this season. The beginnings of the zombie (Undead not unperson) invasion.

I am aware again that this is another monstrous post of which I apologize again.

But I'd just like to add, I am not saying any of this has to happen its just an idea that I think might work. Also I am aware that if nothing else my idea would probably benefit me the most as out of all active members I am the one who has been away longest. I am just stating that so everyone knows I am not deliberately trying to massage things so everything is easier for me.

Believe it or not I actually did miss this site while I was away and I want to see it restored back to how it once was.

This is just a quick addendum if anyone other than myself and Nik ever log in again (I do check this side everyday you know). But yes I am aware that my RP posts are in complete contradiction to my above proposal but I wanted to show two things.

One: Commitment that I am back.
Two: I was / am anxious to RP again.

Hope some more of us come back soon.

2)Sorry we killed Vincent off (well, I think he's "assumed dead") but I don't think any of us were expecting you back. However, if we can get a plan for it together, a Kana/Vincent face-off would be one kick-ass fight xD

3)Didn't we narrow this season down to a short-list of a few ideas? Not that I can remember what any of them were >.>

4)Another time-skip would make things easier to catch up on I guess, but I don't think Nik will go for it so soon after the last one. Plus I'd personally like to carry on a few of my threads as they are, instead of skipping. But that's just me.

5)Dammit Jess, I don't have Skype >.> Hmmm.... how can we have a good group conversation without excluding anyone who want in or making a new thread where posts get missed?

6)Nik, I'm retiring Moriarty Holt. I think I did like two posts and I'm bored of him >.> Can I put him up for adoption?

Edit: I remember what my other point was! Jaden : I kind of took over from Steven on the Gazette because it was too fun an idea to let go of but you weren't here to do it. I don't mind giving you control over the paper again, it was your idea anyway I think. Or if you like, we could have Miranda and Steven work together on the story - maybe Miranda does the Carla side and Steven does the Circle part? Or they could be rival journalists. Everybody needs a professional rival xD Just an idea
