I for one am looking forward to having Vincent back.
I'm hoping that it'll be like slipping on an old pair of comfortable, yet evil, trousers that you haven't worn in a long while.
Also the vengeance will be nice.

Leeeeeigh! Oh aye, I remember that. Have the sight liquid instead of linear. I liked that idea, as I remember. I think it would be a shame to kill off Carla, at least at the moment. She started the whole anti-Watch thing, it wouldn't be fair if she didn't get to see it unfold. Vincent should definitely come back, I think we just need to decide when. The "body on screen" rule is very apt xD .... we have ninja stalkers? Also, Im thinking Miranda bursts in to the pub and demands interviews off everyone after her story gets rejected. Aww no Becci . If she doesn't want to come back, maybe other people can take over her characters for now?

only problem with making the site liquid like that is that we have so many people posting in different areas on the same story that it's gonna be really difficult for anyone to keep track of what exactly is happening
I agree that what we have right now isn't exactly perfect, but it mostly works

Seconded.
Also changing topic. Nik as myself and Meg have already discussed in Steven and Mirandas story. Would it be at all feasible to have a thread somewhere on the site where our characters can post news articles for the Gazette for everyone to read?
I remember Meg and I previously talked about such a thread back in 2008 when I first made Steven.

Yeah that sounds really good, not sure exactly where to put it, but I'll see what I can do

Good afternoon everyone.
I am here to beseech some wisdom and incite. As some of you are aware my character Steven is in a rivalry with Meg's character Miranda at the Edgehaven Gazette Newspaper. She has, with the aid of Leigh, got a story for her character that is the beginning of the Watches PR nightmare.
I have to come up with an alternative story that trumps hers.
I am then going to (as the posts above suggest) write an actual article about what Steven uncovers. My only problem however is getting a story in the first place.
I believe I may need to interview some of your characters.
My idea is either I interview:
Kana, Belle and Stone for a what happened to Vincent story.
Or anyone from the EHPD.
Or if anyone else has any idea's for a story.
I'm trying to stay away from The Night Watch as much as possible as Meg's characters story is about that and as has been posted the papers editor Mr Hart doesn't like writing stories concerning the Watch, thus Miranda's story being rejected.
Anyone up for helping me out?

Eh, that's a good point. I guess liquid RPing onnly works if you don't have a site-wide plotline that requires people *not* to be in 6 places at once xD Didn't think of that one.
Hmm... well I'm afraid you'd never get an interview out of Kana. You might just get lucky if you stuck strictly to questions about the club, but once Vincent's name popped up you'd need to run. Of course, I'm sure you could put a good spin on such a violent reaction xD
I'd have thought you could probably get a safe story out of the EHPD - something about their possible recruitment drive, the need for new members now they're expanding, whatever. You'd have to check with Leigh though.

I think Eleri should force Wright to do an interview, and then it should go horribly wrong because he's awful at it . Also, if you want an... interesting... story, interview Dillon! Just... don't expect facts. PS: Just in time for my triumphant return... I've crippled my back and can barely sit at a PC for long. So my posting may be slow. But I am here now, I promise!

I like the idea of both of them and I think I will do both.
From what I've read of your Dillon character Leigh he seems like the perfect person to do an interview with. I think comic gold for those posts and the subsequent article.
I have already said in my post that Steven has already tried to get a interview with Nicholas Wright but you were Quote: 'Too busy to chat.' So either we could go for the simple: Wright / Eleri return Stevens call. Or Steven either witnesses a crime, commits a crime or reports a fake crime just to get the EHPD out so he can interview whoever turns up.
Or we could combine the two.
Depressed that he can't get a story together in the time that he has left. Steven goes into The Broken Bottle Pub to drown his sorrows, so convinced is he that he wont have a job tomorrow. There he gets talking to Dillon and co and when he tells them he is a reporter they beg for an interview.
Needless to say the interview goes badly as I believe from what I have read of your character that he is insane. Knowing his interview with Dillon wont reach the front page Steven begins to drink himself into a stupor complaining all the while about not getting interviews with people such as Wright. Then Dillon could suggest if he wants to get the polices attention all he has to do is commit a crime.
In his drunk state that seems like a great idea, he / they do it and are arrested. Then we could have Steven being questioned while he in turn is trying to interview Wright, Eleri and co?
What do you think?
Whoaw complicated post sorry guys!

Well if you wanted to go the simple option, we could basically have Eleri find Steven's phone number and suggest calling him to get some publicity in the hopes that it'll attract new members from Edgehaven. I like the "gets drunk, commits crime" idea too though xD that could be fun. Im just imagining Eleri listening outside the door while Wright is doing the interview, bustling in with tea every ten seconds etc and generally facepalming. Also, when Steven turns up still drunk with an interview Miranda's probably been trying to get for ages, she'll be livid xD Also, Brilliant timing Leigh get better soon ^_^

Well, I kinda like the idea that Wright's been blowing him off for ages. So he's always like 'Sorry, we're far too busy' while sat at his desk with his feet up bouncing a ping pong ball around or something.
And eventually Eleri finds out and forces him to do the interview for publicitiy's sake.
Although frankly Steven hiring Dillon to commit a crime to attract their attention is hilarious. We could make it funnier though in that Dillon just fails completely and goes around comitting crimes so pathetic and obscure nobody comes, and then Eleri rings him.
And yes, Dillon is completely insane. And tends to tell... interesting...stories...

I think I prefer the hiring Dillon approach. It'll also give the Carla vs Night Watch thing a chance to grow slightly as well if I take some time talking to Dillon, Madoc, Felix and William etc in the pub.
Also after he hires Dillon to commit a crime to attract the police and Eleri rings him Steven would be cacking himself!
Also the paper could run a short story on a string of obscure crimes committed in and around the town. Steven having no idea that Dillon was the culprit behind each one.

Why do I have a feeling I'm going to be having a lot of fun looking up some very obscure laws?

Because you blatantly will. And you'll come up with the most inane and pathetic ones that aren't even on the books anymore for Dillon to commit. So really, only Wright has any idea that they're crimes and that they're out of date.
FYI, I'm sticking with Felix having precog abilities, does anyone mind giving me some info on future events just so we can establish it? His sarcastic bitching needs to be confirmed just so he can have a larger role in actual plot rather than the guy who pulls the pints and provides drunkards with a place to crash.
We need something for Madoc to get involved with as well. Out of all the characters, Madoc, Felix and Elizabeth don't really have anything important to do with any form of plot.

Madoc and Felix can become Stevens contacts for the paper. I mean everyone seems to be waltzing into the broken bottle to tell you their life stories. That place must be a gold mine for information! Also Jess can you post as Elizabeth please? (though you are online as I write this so you may have already. If that's the case then thank you!) EDIT: Curse you Jess!!!!!
