Hadrian blinked as Eleri helped him with the werewolf slung over his shoulder, "You know... sunlotion over Factor-75 would probably protect you from most forms of UV light if you're a Dhamphire like the Captain keeps insinuating." He pointed out, "Not so sure about a UV torch though... and you should probably keep that quiet." He added giving the shadows a shiftly look as if expecting some rogue vampire to be lurking around to listen in on their conversation about sunlotion. The fiends.
"Because if the secret of sunlotion gets out the vampyres will take over the world." He muttered under his breath sarcastically in response to his own stupidity. His mother was right, he may be smart but common sense seemed to be on the down low for him. Nuts.

"No, it's simple!" Wright shouted from the main entrance, where he was still sat. The design of the cells meant that any talk down there echoed up to the main part of the building. It might have been annoying, but it also meant nobody could discuss escape attempts without you overhearing.
"We let the secret out, then make all the sun-lotion companies garlic scent their sunlotion without telling the vampires. Wham. There you go. Vampire scourge dealt with forever." Wright gave a smug grin that unfortunately nobody could see.
Or maybe fortunately, since his idea was utterly, utterly stupid. But, well, he was very drunk, and very badly injured, he figured he was allowed a few bad ideas.

Eleri wondered how the young man had guessed she was a dhampire... after all, the Captain's hints were so... subtle.
"Hmm... I've tried the suncream idea, actually, back when I first got bitten. It's not a bad idea, I just can't stand the smell of coconuts." She said, smiling.
She ignored Wright's shouts. She was learning that ignoring him and giving him firm orders usually worked quite well.
As they got to the cell door, she nudged her foot into the gap between the door and the frame and kicked it open. She backed inside and dropped her end of the lycan, stood up and stretched her arms, causing her arms to crack in several different places. That probably wasn't a good sign.
"So... I don't think we were properly introduced." She said to Hadrain. "You know our names, but I don't remember hearing yours."
It was a friendly statement, she hoped it didn't seem threatening or suspicious at all.

Hadrian grinned and offered the pretty lady his hand, "Hadrian Beaumont. The fun twin." He added with a teasing wink. He loved his sister he really did. She was just a bit.... dull at times.

Wright, like a child, didn't like being ignored, but, unlike a child, also liked to have any excuse to get drunk. And, well, if they weren't going to talk to him, then he might as well just keep drinking then.
It wasn't like they could say he hadn't made the effort to be sociable after all. He'd tried. They ignored him. Plus, they'd told him to sit there. And he was the captain, so he could choose to obey ('cause he certainly didn't take orders, ahem).
Also, he was sobering up and becoming acutely aware that his body felt like it had been run over by a combine harvester, and that wasn't good...
He reached for another bottle of beer...

Eleri smiled and shook Hadrian's hand. "Nice to meet you." She said, leading the way back up the steps.
As she put her foot on the first step, she called up a warning to Wright.
"Nicholas Wright, I do not want to see you drinking when I get up there!"
She fixed a Look on her face, knowing full well he probably would be. She really needed to sort that desk out...

Hadrian grinned widely, "That's a losing battle you know." He pointed out lowly, "You'll have to nick bottles out of his desk draw to get him to stop drinking. Or redirect his booze money back into repairing the station."

Wright could tackle werewolves bare handed. He could fight off vampries drunk and armed only with a radio. He could not, however, withstand anybody calling him 'Nicholas Wright'.
Some primal fear of parents triggered inside his head and he quickly hid the bottle in the desk, and coughed an innocent: "Welcome back." To Eleri and Hadrian.
By the time he'd figured out what he had just done and that she'd actually made him stop drinking it was too late...

Eleri grinned and replied to Hadrian in little more than a whisper.
"I know. That's the plan, more or less."
She fixed her face back into a blank expression as she re-entered the office. She smiled, a little smugly, as she walked over to Wright and opened the first aid box.
"How're you feeling?" She asked, pulling out some antiseptic cream and a roll of gauze.

Wright, who saw that Eleri was armed with all manner of things he'd rather she didn't go anywhere near him with, flinched a little, and shuffled away on the chair.
"I'm fine! Fine!" He quickly insisted. "Forgot I was even hurt." He quickly realised that this wasn't going to work.
"Urm, don't we have, you know, paper work to do and things?" He suggested in a desperate attempt to stop her prodding any of his injuries again.

"The paperwork's not going anywhere, is it?" She said calmly. She put her foot behind the front leg of the chair to stop him shuffling it back any further, and took the lid off the antiseptic.
"This might sting just a little... but I'm sure you can handle it." She said. Then, before Wright could move back any further, she set about dabbing the cream on his cuts.
Once she'd finished, she inspected the growing bruise on his ribs. "Hmm..." She searched through the box, looking for something to suppress the bruising. She found another handy tube and opened it. She put a little on Wright's chest, rubbed it in and then covered it in a bandage.
"That should help." She told him, fastening the bandage with some tape. "Don't touch it, let the antiseptic soak in." She regarded his older scars reproachfully. "It looks like you haven't been so good at taking care of yourself before."

Again, up there on the list of sentences Wright feared, 'this might sting a little' was pretty high.
Ow.
By the time he'd stopped yelping, Eleri was finally done, and he managed to relax a little.
"I take perfect care of myself." He muttered sorely. "It's just everybody else who doesn't." He felt he had a point.

"That's as may be, but if you don't start cleaning your cuts and bruises properly, you're going to end up being one giant scar." She said in a somewhat patronising voice - one she had used many times on her brothers and, occasionally, her father.
She wiped her hands, which were now covered in blood and antiseptic, on her trousers, put the medical supplies back in the box and shut it.
"Don't touch those cuts, or I'll have to put some more stuff on them." She told Wright with a Look.
She turned to Hadrian and said "Make sure he doesn't drink anything, would you?" Then, to both of them, she announced: "I'm going to change my clothes."
Turning to Wright, she explained "I don't fancy walking around covered in blood for the next several hours, if it's all the same to you, sir."
She walked out of the room and went to find Nolan about getting her uniform washed.

Wright waited until Eleri was out of earshot. Or was that until he thought she was out of earshot? Or until he could pretend he thought she was out of earshot when in reality he knew she still was because it'd be funny?
Some are mysteries for the universe.
He rolled his eyes to Hadrian. "Women. Always thinking about their clothes." He muttered with a sarcastic grin. He could have made a vampire joke, but he felt the more obvious route would be revenge for the stinging pain Eleri had just put him through.
And the constant assault of The Look.

Hadrian snorted, "Male Models are worse than women when it comes to clothes. Believe me. Dad brought me and Luci with him on a show, the Male Models were screeching about something or other, at each other, at dad and then at us, made Luci cry. She kept having nightmares for days afterwards." He complained wrinkling his nose before eyeing all the papers on his desk and blinking, "How in the seven layers of hell do you find anything around here?" He spluttered before shaking his head, Inner!Neat-Freak foaming at the mouth.
