Wright leant back and came to a decision.

"Right! No. No letting Eleri sort it out. No wearing ties! And NO blackmail!" It was time to sort this out himself.

And by that, he meant get someone else to do it.

"Corporal Beaumont! We're going to see..." He sighed heavily. "....your mother."

[Eleri Mortymer]

Eleri raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. Instead, she sighed with relief. She'd been dreading having to dress up and talk to people.

She walked over and stood next to Wright.

"Good choice, sir." She tried to gice him an encouraging smile, but she had a feeling it just didn't look right. She stopped smiling.

"How's that leg now, sir?" She asked.

Wright gave Eleri a cautious glance. She was smiling. She never smiled. That couldn't be good, could it?

"Feels like someone blew a police station up on it." He replied dryly. "Why?" He asked, as if he couldn't comprehend why him being injured would stop them doing anything.

Given Wright's natural tendency to get beaten up all the time, s probably why. If they stopped every time something had beaten him nearly to death they'd never get anything done.

"C'mon, let's get this sorted."

[Hadrian Beaumont]

Hadrian nodded, "After that I'm taking you back to the hospital though." He warned as he began to march off towards the outskirts of town where his mother was already beginning to organise people into shared homes and sort out food and all the rest of it. He honestly wondered why she never went into the army, woman shouted like a drill sergeant.
