"Hadrian?" Eleri asked him worridly. She touched his shoulder gently. "Are you alright?"
She blinked as the force of Hadrian's worries hit her. It'd happened before - direct contact with someone who was feeling strong emotions was enough to let Eleri into their mind.
Her mothering instinct kicked in and she drew Hadrian close to her, hugging him. She'd done the same thing many a time with her brothers. "It's alright, they're fine." She assured him. "Your mother's smart enough to get out of harms way - they'll be fine." She rocked gently, trying to soothe him.

"Is he alright!?" Wright complained, having let out a not entirely manly scream when Eleri touched his knee, and still lying crippled in the corner of the room.
"Okay, okay, I think I can move my arm-OW!-my other arm." Wright began to crawl across the floor, using only his left arm. "I think I'll be fine. Yeah. I'm good." He managed pretty pathetically, hauling what was left of himself across the cell.
"I'll just...go to A&E...and....pass out...for a while.." He explained casually.

"Stay!" Barked Eleri. "You're in no shape to be moving anywhere - you've torn at least a few ligaments and I wouldn't be suprised if you'd fractured something. You're lucky you're not dead."
She shot him a Look over Hadrian's head. "I'll see to you in a minute - after all, it's your own fault you're in that state."

Wright winced from the Look, and perched himself up against a wall miserably, folding his one good arm. He was pretty certain most of his bones were in about a billion pieces and a part of his brain had fallen out, but that was okay, Eleri had to give someone a hug.
He briefly considered putting that on his gravestone if he died now.
"In my defence, it worked." He sulked, noticing how the demon seemed quite definitively dead.

"Oh stop being so melodramatic." said Eleri wearily. Now that Wright was awake again, she was quickly forgetting the respect she'd had for Wright and his plan.
"Of course it worked." She told him. "Although Hadrian and I managed to pull it off without almost getting killed."
She let go of Hadrian and stood up. She made her way across to Wright and crouched next to him again.
"Arm." She demanded. She didn't wait for him to oblige, and gingerly felt his bad arm. "That's going to need a sling, if only a temporary one...." she thought for a second and then ripped the bottom off Wright's tattered shirt and fashioned it into a make-shift sling.
"It was a bloody good plan, though." She said, smiling as she tied the knot in place behind his shoulder. "Even if it was insane."
She stood up and placed her hands on her hips. "Right, hospital I think." she said in a business-like manner.
"After a quick trip to the Beaumont household." She said, smiling reassuringly at Hadrian.

Hadrian gave her a forced, somewhat sickly smile.
"might want to head to the A&E first. Mum sees him like that and she'll tie him to the nearest flat surface and get out the first aid kit. She won't let him leave." He warned her, vividly remembering the time Fae came home after a barbrawl with a pair of werewolves.... that was.... well he was struck for the first time into thinking 'damn, my sister is a hardass'.

Wright, who really didn't like admitting defeat, tried to figure out how to make his legs respond to his brain, while attempting to work out whether it was his legs that were the problem or whether it was just what had happened to his head.
"Don't worry, I'm good." He said with a wearyness. "You take Lance Corporal Beaumont to visit his mum. I'll just, go to the hospital myself."
Wright hadn't thought through how he'd get there on his own, but then again, if he thought things through, he wouldn't of just got them to blow up his police station and tried to climb a fifty foot demon.

"No, I think Hadrian's right. Hospital first." Eleri said sternly. "I'll see if I can get the door open. Don't move." She backed up her command with a Look.
She crossed to the stairs, climbed them and gave the door an experimental shove. It shifted forward about half an inch.
"It's blocked." She informed them, coming back down. "Must be debris in the way. That said, we're lucky there's a door left for there to be debris in the way of..." she trailed off. "Anyway, I think I can get it open, but I'm going to need some help." She said, looking pointedly at Hadrian.

He got to his feet and went to help Eleri with the door, pondering out loud with a: "If there's rubble outside the door, that means the station is pretty much trashed. Where's te Captain going to live when he gets out of the hospital?" He asked, shooting the old man a worried glance from the corner of his eye.
Sure he was an idiotic old bastard - meant in the nicest of ways - but being homeless in Edgehaven was signing your own suicide cirtificate.

Eleri blinked. That was a point.
"Uhm..." She hesitated. "I suppose he'll have to move in with one of us. Or get a flat or something." She said quietly, stifling a smile at the thought of Wright living in the same house as Elizabeth.
"I wouldn't bring it up just yet - it's probably not a good idea in his condition..."
She turned to the door. "Ready?" She asked. "Push."

Hadrian supressed a snigger, probably thinking the same thing about Wright having to put up with his mother - poor guy wouldn't know what to do with himself and end up hiding under the table.
He shoved his whole weight against the door when the woman gave the go ahead and felt it give a little as he did so before he dug his feet in and really shoved himself against the damn thing.

Wright was lucky he didn't know the mental 'olds' being assigned to him by Hadrian. He wasn't old! He was just kind of middley. Or at least, that's what he usually argued.
"Oi! I have a flat!" Wright pointed out from the floor. "I very distinctly remember owning a flat. I've been there before. Like, twice, even." He explained. He was exagerrating a little, but he really didn't spend too much time there.
"Besidse, the station is fine! A lick of paint, sweep some of the dust away, good as new!" He added with a cheeky grin.
"And just shoot the doors off the hinges!" He suggested. "Where'd my shotgun go?"

"I think it's on the other side of the door, sir." Grunted Eleri, shoving. She stopped to catch her breath and then, like Hadrian, rammed the door with all her strength. The combined force opened the door enough for both her and Hadrian to slip through.
Eleri stepped out into the wreckage of the station cautiously. She spotted the charred ends of the power cables, which were no longer sparking. She assumed that somebody had called the electric company and had the line cut off.
She walked around to the other side of the door to see what had been blocking it, and was confronted with the singed upper body of the demon, it's face contorted in pain. She noted that it looked considerably smaller, although no less scary.
She remembered reading somewhere that demons turned to ash if you killed them... it had mentioned a blessed weapon, so Eleri assumed that they just returned to their normal form if you blew them up.
"I think we'll need to get rid of this..." she said to Hadrian.

The slightly shorter male came to stand beside her and gave the woman a sceptical look, "Somehow, I don't think we'll be quite able to do that. Unless you happen to have a Chapel and a Bishop hidden in that uniform." He added cheekily, giving her a once over, "So we're a bit stuck. Cause this bastard is fire proof." He added giving the thing a kick. Fire proof didn't mean explosion proof thankfully, otherwise they would have definitly been killed.

Wright followed them out, now standing, apparently motivated purely by the thought of his lost shotgun. He spotted it on the floor, picked it up, and slung it over his shoulder.
Despite the fact he was stood there, barely alive, he seemed content to carry on.
"C'mon, climb. You guys never snuck into abandoned buildings as kids? It's not hard. Just nip over it." He led the way, experienced at this kind of thing.
He fell down the other side with a thump. And a muffled 'ow'. Apparently he'd forgotten most of his body wasn't working.
