Madoc nodded at Carla's name, but didn't metion that he already knew it. He was getting the impressin that she liked the degree on anonymity she had in the run-down pub. "Trust me, after that shock, I'm not going to be underestimating your abilities any time soon." he grinned.
"Keep up? I could drink you under the table, demon blood or not," he boasted. He swayed slightly and had a brief flash of a thought that he might well end up in the hospital having his stomach pumped before the night was over. Besides, Felix had already poured him his starting shots. And he had the advantage of being both bulkier, less drunk and, he guessed, a tiny bit more immune to the Bottle's infamous whisky than Carla. Which, he considered drunkenly, might just win him the contest.
"Cheers, Fe." He said to the barman, picking up his first shot. "Ready to lose?" He asked Carla with a smirk. "One, two, three...." And then he downed his first shot, slamming the glass on the bar and pulling a face when he'd finished.

Carla waited for a moment before downing her own shot, grinning. "You think that was impressive? Try this." She picked up her own shot, and the whiskey inside began to crackle, and flash blue, sparkling with electric currents.
Carla downed the sparking liquid, and pulled the same face as Madoc. "Now that's got a kick to it!" She managed to explain, before coughing to herself. Of course, it was helpful that she was immune to electric shocks as part of her powers, but she wasn't going to point that out.
"You down one of them, then I'll be impressed. That's what you get for the 'demon blood' comment." She needled, hoping that sooner or later Madoc would get the message she didn't like being called 'demon'.

Dillon turned to Felix with as close as he could get to an academical look. "Actually," He began, as if beginning a lecture, "The swords are called Stabbity and Slashy. I'm Dillon. This is Slashy." He held up one sword. "And this is Stabbity." He held up another, and then paused, swapped them over in his hands, and looked puzzled.
"Or is it the other way around?" For the first time, Dillon seemed confronted with the minor fact both of his swords were identical.
"The important part is the part where I'm Swordmaster, not Dillon." He decided, which wasn't at all the point he was making in the first place, but the fact he'd managed a coherant sentence was pretty admirable anyway.

Felix looked at Dillon with out an expression before nodding and patting him on the head, "Of course, dear," he told the brain-addled Slayer in a long suffering tone of voice. "Would you like another drink?" he asked, topping off a few more of the whiskey glasses for the drinking contest.

Madoc whistled. "Well, consider me impressed," he said. "And no, thanks, I like my innards not flambéd." He bowed and almost fell off his stool. "Apologies, I won't do it again," he said, righting himself. He didn't fancy getting another shock and added "demon" to his list of words not to say. Currently it was two words long - "demon" and "coolio". Other than that, it was all relative.
He watched Dillon in amusement, swaying slightly. "I think that one is Stabbity, mate," he told him, pointing at a random sword. Then he picked up another whisky, raised it to Carla with a nod, and downed it.

Carla grinned, and jabbed another finger at Madoc. "Well, you're just a coward." She announced, downing her own drink. "A-and I can keep doing this...for...for...hours..."
Unfortunately, at that point, she fell off her bar stool for a second time and crashed to the floor.
"....Tiny nap first...isn't cheating...at all..." She managed before passing out.

Felix peered over the bar at the unconscious woman and looked sideways at Madoc, "You win," he told the human lightly before rounding the bar and picking Carla up. Making sure to bundle her in the blankets so he wouldn't get electrocuted he carted her back behind the bar and into the living room where he put her down on the sofa. Really, he still got the feeling he was too nice for his own good at times. If this came back to bite him in the ass then he would be extremely displeased and start shooting people.
Returning to the bar he gave Zack a long measuring look, contemplating telling him to man up before shrugging a shoulder and leaving him to his brooding. Not his problem, and anyway, the Broken Bottle was pretty much the place to go for brooding/sulking.

Madoc grinned. "Hours... suuuuuure," he said, leaning on the bar." Stupidly, he attempted to catch her as she fell. Luckily for him, his reactions had been slowed by the amount of alcohol he'd consumed and he missed her. Instead, he looked at her unconcious form on the floor for a few seconds and then sat up again and turned to Felix.
"Of course I win, I'm amazing." He boasted, "Easiest drinking competition ever." He picked up the rest of his beer, downed it and then slumped forward on to the bar. "'m not dead." He mumbled.

Without bothering to lift his chin off the bar to look at the man, Zack pointed a finger directly at Madoc's forehead,
"I bet I could drink you under a table," he said, before he raised his glass to drain the last of the alcohol. He stares down the empty glass for a few seconds, before yawning widely.
"... Not now though. You're drunk, I'm tired, it just wouldn't work between us at the moment." His tongue clicked against his teeth, "So sorry."

Felix couldn't help but snort in amusement over the 'It would have never worked between us'-type line. Everyone seemed to be getting to that point, he glanced up to the clock.
3AM, "Last orders!" the blonde called down the bar, technically he had already stayed open longer than usual so they shouldn't argue - still didn't stop the mutinous grumbling from the regular drunks. Grabbing one of the wire trays, he left the bar to go and collect empty and broken glasses and bottles around the room and check for keys - occasionally conviscating a set from a punter who really was that gone and thinking about driving home. He could come and collect his car in the morning when he was sober.

Madoc snorted. "Yeah right, I just beat Rino's right-hand woman, I could take you on." He slurred at Zack, also without bothering to lift his head. "But yeah, not now...." He yawned in to the wood of the bar. "I'm tired and you're drunk... or... something..."
With considerable effort, he pushed himself off the bar and stood up, somewhat unsteadily. After a few seconds of wobbling, he managed to take a few steps towards the door. "Well, I'll be off...." he called across to Felix and turned back to the door. He promptly walked in to the doorframe.
"Or... um... not." He said, rubbing his head. "Fe, can I..." he gestured towards the back of the bar to the living room of the attached house where Carla had been taken. Usually he would have had the sofa, but as there was currently a sleeping half-demon there, he would settle for the floor with a blanket.

The blond Vampire chuckled and waved him off with a bottle, "Go. Cupboard next to the pantry has some sheets and a blanket inside, make yourself at home," he told the human as he began to clear away the evidence of the drinking contest. Pausing briefly to neck one of the left over shots, relishing the burn of the alcohol as it went down.
He kept his mouth shut about Carla already being drunk - mainly because Madoc had also been quite drunk as well. Though the idea of a drinking contest between Madoc and Zack amused him beyond almost all reason, the only way that could get better was if the winner faced off against Dillon. Either way, he wasn't sure who would win the drinking contest between the Human and the Vampire, but he was probably a little biased anyway. He hoped Madoc won.

Madoc grinned drunkenly at Felix. "Awesome," he managed before stumbling his way behind the bar, mercifully without breaking anything. He wandered in through the door, dragged a couple of unsuspecting blankets out of the cupboard Felix had mentioned and into the living room and proceded to make a sort of nest on the floor. Looking around the room, he spied a couple of pillows on the sofa, beneath Carla's legs.
Gingerly, and with more tact than you'd expect from someone who'd had that much to drink, he manouvered two cushions out from under the sleeping half-demon and added them to his makeshift bed before curling up and falling straight in to an alcohol-fuelled sleep, complete with loud snores.

As Madoc dragged himself into the back rooms, Zack raised his head from the bar again. His eyes were rather blurred, mostly due to sheer exhaustion at the end of a day bought and gift wrapped especially from hell, but they do say that tiredness and drunkeness can have similar effects on a person.
"No, you're drunk, and I'm tired." A pause. "And sexier. Waaaay, sexier."
Another pause.
"You'd better be sleeping on the couch, Wythers. Or floor. Whatever."
This, in Zack speak, was an unofficial announcement he was staying at the Broken Bottle tonight. Hell, might as well make a party out of it. Or something.

Felix could only shake his head in fond amusement as, well he supposed Madoc could be considered pretty much his best friend here, made his way into the living room to get ready for the night.
Setting the full tray on the side he decided not to make a comment on Zack's mistaken belief of being sexy. Though he did pause and shoot the Vampire a look of unamused disbelief, had he actually just made a semi-threat to Madoc about sleeping somewhere other than the floor or couch?
He stared flatly at him for a moment before beginning to put the glasses in the washer, "Territorial much," he told the older Vampire bluntly.
