(Continued from the Wandering/DA threads)
As Damaris came to the Southern quadrent, she noticed three things.
The first was that there were actual people in the town, which suprised her. From the stories she'd heard, she hadn't expected there to be normal, mortal humans here.
The second thing she noticed was that she was limping less and less every minute. That bullet must have done quite a bit of damage... things like that normally heal up faster than this. Still, at least its finally stopped bleeding.
The third, and most unusual thing she noticed was that the people she passed did little more than glance at her. I guess people around here are used to this sort of thing from this Circle thing.
A little while down the road, Damaris found a small cafe. It wasn't busy, but there were few people in there. Probably regulars She thought.
She made her way to the counter and ordered a coffee. After a little consideration, she added "and a slice of that chocolate cake, please."
She seated herself on one of the higher chairs by the counter, her back to the till, injured leg crossed over the other. Hooking the canvas bag containing her bow and arrows over her raised foot, she pulled the card Austin had given her out of her pocket and inspected it again, balancing her cake and her plate on her lap.
And now to wait...

The air still smells of death. Dry, razor sharp wind blew. Gladious walked slowly down the road. The scar on his chest still burns and the hideous laughter of that demon still lingers in his head. He shook his head violently for a few seconds, attempting to get rid of these troublesome thoughts, but failed...
Gladious lets out a long sign, " I hate demons..."
As he walked on, he saw what appears to be a mass of abandoned houses, but strangely there are still shadows of humans decorating the dusted streets. "Maybe these people are seeking refuge here." Gladious thought to himself.
Not long after Gladious entered the "abandoned town", strange thoughts started to crop up his spine: everyone in this part of the town seems to be under some kind of delusion, all they ever did when he walked past them is no more than a flicker of their eyes despite of the fact that he had a 5 feet long claymore hanging on his back and is almost covered in blood... Gladious is not liking at all, "Are they really alive..."
Suddenly he felt a jolt within these dull auras, "Something or someone is a bit different here..." on that thought, Gladious followed that strange aura and soon enough, he ended up infront of a small cafe. Without a pause, he made his way inside, and straight away he saw it, a young lady sitting infront of the tilt, eating a slice of chocolate cake. "Well at least she's not a demon." Gladious relaxed a bit, "come to think of it, I am kinda hungry too. Lossing this much blood can not be good for my health" he smiled on that thought and sat himself down next to the lady.
"So...What can I get you?" said the bar tender, as if he is half-asleep.
"A Strawberry Sundae, please..."

((I'm not actually at the counter, I'm sat by a table... i'll edit my post cuz it makes more sense.))
Damaris sighed and replaced the card in her pocket, focusing instead on her cake. I'd forgotten how hungry I was.... Then she felt something...different. Powerful... yet familiar. I know that scent... but why? She looked around, but seeing nothing took another bite from her cake. Then she realised with a jolt where she knew that scent from. Carla... Replacing her cake and its plate on the counter, she moved her hand instinctively to where her falchion should've been, closing her eyes in exhasperation as she remembered again where she'd left it. However, instead of Carla walking through the door as she'd expected, she saw a tall, pale man with silver hair and red eyes who looked as though he'd been in a fight. She eyed him suspiciously for a moment, but said nothing. She ignored him as he approched the counter, only glancing for a second at the large sword on his back. As he sat next to her, she turned, keeping her face to him but not looking at him, and picked up her coffee from the counter, the wolf in her raising its hackles.

The lady seems to be ignoring Gladious, but from her aura, he can clearly sense that she does not appreciate his presence.
Maybe she would feel less hostile if I had washed my face this morning That thought made him chuckle a bit, and the chuckle soon turned into a deep grunt as the scar once again started to burn, and Gladious could feel the demon flaring up within him. He took a deep breath forced the demonic fire back into the abyss.
That's strange... Gladious thought to himself, my demon should only react to other inner beasts...unless... Out of the corner of his eye, Gladious saw the lady, on the surface she still appears to be cold as stone, but her aura is already swirling and twisting in chaos...
I see... Gladious closed his eyes and concentrated, everything around him are once again been sucked into the warp and stretched, when he opened his eyes, the world around him has been pushed forward in time yet again. Now that Gladious is ready for anything, he took a bite from his strawberry sundae, and with a tilt of his head, "I didn't know that werewolves liked chocolate cakes."

((*rolls eyes* Iasu Christi, Jaden. I love you, but you're mean when you wanna be. )) Damaris picked up her coffee and drank from it, keeping one eye on the newcomer. She let her free hand rest on her leg, near her hip so that she could reach her gun easily if she needed to. When he spoke, she put her coffee down on the counter again slowly, and said, without looking at him, "Not to be rude, but I don't see why its any of your concern why a werewolf is sitting in a cafe in this town. It doesn't strike me as a particularly irregular occurence."

((I'm sure we can carry on.Gladius is new to the town, so his character wouldn't realise the commoness of werewolves, and it wouldn't surprise me if passer bys look unalive. I'm sure none of them are in a good mood! XD))
Hector, who had just walked through the door himself, heard the last of their conversation. He sat down.
"My friend, you are new here are you not? Werewolves are just as common as humans here," he spoke to Gladious, uninvited.
"Oh, pint of milk please," he replied to the barman.
"Perhaps you would be interested in a guide? I'm sure you could learn a few things or two from me about this town. You wouldn't want to be caught in the streets unaware. Even humans are capable of defending themselves." Hector, of course, was thinking back to his previous battles with Joey Risk.
Humans can be a nuisance, but you can't understimate their spirit... He thought to himself, as he remembered the human conjuring powers he didn't even know he had.

Damaris picked up her coffee cup and finished the last of it as Hector entered. Another one... The wolf in her was growling now. She placed her coffee cup back on the bar and kicked her canvas arrow bag up, catching it and slinging it over her shoulder. She glared at Hector, annoyed that she had been ignored, and glanced at Gladious. "Sorry to cut our little chat short, but I have someone to meet." She nodded curtly to him and threw some money down onto the counter, turning to leave.

Oh! Now this is interesting! And I thought this was just some ordinary run down town, maybe I can find some clue leading to "him" from here after all...
Gladious tried to compose himself, but a smirk still escaped from the corner of his mouth.
"Oh and lady, sorry about my rudeness, it was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope that remain the case." Gladious bowed slightly and smiled.
Then he turned to the other stranger, the smile is still plastered on his face, " Well, well, well looks like I am not the only monster here. Thank you for your hospitality. So then, tell me about this deathly town, what exactly is going on here?"

((Just another quick note, if you read my charcters bio, you'd see that she doesn't actually have emotions, so you wouldn't be able to sense her "aura" shifting because it doesn't. Otherwise she'd have been in wolf form and tearing throats out by now.))
Damaris acknowledged the speech by raising her hand over her shoulder, before stalking out of the cafe, fuming. As she left, she let out a low growl before she could stop herself.

Hector did not pay Damaris any attention when she left. He was more interested in the newcomer. He awaited his reply with great thirst. He picked up his milk once it arrived in front of him, and took a sip.
Before Gladious answered, Hector felt his phone go off.
"Forgive me, this won't take long," he said. He send off a reply, and then faced Gladious again.

Still staring at the stranger infront of him, Gladious is loosing trust minute by minute.
I shouldn't trust this man too much...
With a glare, Gladious started again,"So then, what can you tell me about this town?"

"One thing is for certain. No matter where you go, you will always be in danger. You've got to learn when is a good time to talk, and when is a good time to fight. If you are too eager for battle you will not last one night."
Hector drank some more of his milk then spoke again.
"You've also got to know who to trust. Unfornately there are only two easy answers to that one. The first is to wait until you know that they should be mistrusted before you decide not to trust them. A foolish thing, as by then you could be dead. The second is to trust no one, make no friends. Another foolish thing, for to survive in this town you need to stay in a pack. It's very rare to see people travelling alone, unless they're surpremely confident in their skills, or they are demon. Most demon's, you see, can simply teleport out of a bad situation."
Hector took another sip.
"If you want to learn, perhaps I should take you for a walk?"
