so here we are again - demon war round two...
"okay, move up"
he led the group up the stairs towards the next floor, listening carefully for the opposition. When they reached the end of the stairs, the lobby was completely empty
"okay, here's where we part ways"

On the same floor, in the direction that Austin and his fraction of The Circle were about to head in, Kitten waited patiently. She was racking her brains for a way out of this. There was no ways she was going to die in the defence of Rino.
“Gonna make my own way around this world. I kinda like it. The company is better than the company in hell, Demons are all so samey” she said to herself idly, clutching the stump of an arm that Austin caused. “I’ll go get this sorted out at some point.”
She waited silently in a darkened office room to be found.

"You all know which way to go... meet you at the stairs at the end"
he turned and took a step before turning again
"good luck"
he waited for Kunoichi and Alucard to follow him

kunoichi nodded, twirling her Kunai absent mindedly as she set off after Austin, a strange sense of foreboding coming over her.

Alucard followed Austin alongside Kunoichi, but he was getting tired. Battle fatigue was taking its toll on a man who was not used to fighting non-stop.
“We should sweep these rooms for any stragglers or non combatants who need to get out of here” he yelled to Austin.

Ara led Jaden and Leiana the opposite way down the eerily silent corridor. She felt a sudden shiver of danger but for the moment paid more attention to her surroundings and the movements of the two people with her.
"Jaden, Leiana, we need to check these rooms. I'll take this side if you'll take the other?" She said then was already moving towards the first door, bringing her revolver up to aim as she kicked the door open into the empty room.

Jaden followed Ara. "Right you are." He said to her, drifting to the other side of the corridor.
"Leiana I'll take this one, you take that one." Jaden said nodding towards the door just a bit further up the corridor. He then quietly opened the door and slipped in. He found he was in a large office room filled with desks, computers and filing cabinets. He could hear some heavy breathing coming from under one of the desks. Jaden ghosted his was across the room not making a sound. He jumped around the desk, there was a sudden scream and a young man shot up and scurried across the room.
"Don't kill me!" he yelled, "I wont do anything! Please believe me!" Shouted the man, he had his eyes tightly shut and was holding a meter ruler like it was a sword.
"I'm not going to kill you." Jaden assured the man.
"I bet all you... terror... terrorists say that!" The man said with tears running feely down his face.
"I'm not a terrorist!" Jaden said, "I'm part of The Circle." As Jaden said this he reached into his pockets and pulled out his badge.
"The Circle!" The man said opening his eyes and looking at the badge. "Wow! So you're here to get the terrorists?" He asked.
"... yes" Jaden said after a brief pause. "Alright the ways clear behind us. Make you way down the corridor and down the stairs. The police are waiting at the bottom. Come out with your hands up and they wont shoot, got that?" He asked.
"Yes!" The young man said, "This is so cool! I can't believe I've met The Circle! You go and kick those terrorists arses okay?" His fear seemed to have been suddenly replaced with excitement at knowing The Circle were here.
"Okay." Jaden said leading the boy towards the door and out into the corridor. "Down there and out. Go!" Jaden said, he bolted down stairs and out of sight.
"Kids." Jaden said under his breath and going up the corridor to join Ara and Leiana.

Leiana nodded and slipped into the room that had been marked as hers, listening carefully.
Inside it was much like Jaden's, her senses told her it was devoid, however her gut told her otherwise.
what is going on here?
She sensed the attack before it came, though she only just managed to put up a defence - catching her attacker's arms and throwing them over her shoulder. Her attacker landed back first on a computer desk and broke it in two before laying, momentarily stunend with pieces of desk and computer sacttered around them.
Leiana drew her dagger and took a moment to inspect her opponent
a demon? ...why couldn't I sense it?
her line of questioning was cut short by the demon handspringing to its feet and then beginning to advance upon her
I don't have time to mess around here...
the demon threw a punch which she caught before stepping through and used her right leg to trip it, on the way down she plunged her dagger into the demon, causing it to combust.
Sighing, she withdrew her dagger from the floor, where it had stuck before heading back out into the hallway.

Alucard approached the door quietly as he took out some caffeine pills from one of the many pockets on his coat. He took all six of them when you were only meant to take one!
Its fine, I’m a vampire and I’m tired. That doesn’t make sense but oh well.
He held the sword to his side as backed up to the wall and looked to Austin for the nod to enter.

Kunoichi drew her crossbow - a miniature Assassin's crossbow that she rarely used.
Holding it steady, she stood next to Alucard and waited for the go.

Alucard swiftly barged through the door, ready for even more combat. Instead he was welcomed by a tiny shivering frame in the corner of the darkened room. It was Kitten. He instantly dropped his sword and ran over to help her, ignoring all of Austin’s previous warnings.
“Kitten! Kitten, are you OK?” He asked, crouching down to her and holding her.

Kitten looked up at Alucard
“I…” She began, trying to show Alucard what was left of her arm. “Your friend… Austin… did this to me!” She yelled out as she began crying. She buried her face into Alucards shoulders.
“And he’s coming to finish the job…” She said slowly, knowing he was within earshot.
