Leiana also checked a few more rooms but they all turned up empty Maybe Rino's run out of staff? she shrugged, absent mindedly throwing her dagger up and down in her hand, making it do a backflip before landing back in her palm, hilt first.
she heard Austin's voice on the intercom and clicked her radio to send "Rodger"

Kunoichi smiled slightly at the complement, following Austin and Alucard towards the stairs to the next level "there should be service stairs nearby, we could bypass the rest of the building and get to the roof?"

Jaden came up behind Austin, Alucard and Kunoichi. "All clear that way." He reported. He glanced towards the service stairs.
"Looks promissing." He said walking towards the stairs.

Austin nodded "Service stairs it is, take a moment to recover and then we're going up, not stopping until we find Rino" ((I have ordered this, primarily because I want everyone to check in before we continue ))

Adrienne made her way to Austin's side. "Yes Commander." She said calmly. 'My legs are going to hurt in the morning.' She thought as she stood patiently.

The plan had been simple. Cindy was to stick with the group, stay safe, have Ara watch out for her, and make it through the building with the team.
Unfortunately, upon storming the building, she discovered she lacked the courage to keep going, and regardless, it was hard to keep up with a warrior woman when you were a rather spoilt snob in an evening gown...
She had decided she'd be most useful outside, with the SWAT teams, where she could stand back and advise. Well, it was more of a 'cower' than 'advise', really, but she had too much pride to admit that.
However, she heard the radio she had been left click into life, and order them to meet up. She never liked radios (they didn't fit easily in her handbag, unlike phones), and had no idea how to work it to reply, so had to find one of the SWAT team members to teach her how to respond.
It didn't quite work, because the first thing Austin would have heard is; "What about now? Is it working now?" Followed by a pause, and a "Yes, I am quite certain I pressed that. Yes, the batteries are working! Oh. Wait. So it is working?"
She paused.
"Urm. Hello?" It was at least unmistakable as Cindy, since nobody else could sound quite that posh no matter what they were saying. "Is it safe to come up yet? I am afraid I was rather...frightened." She felt a bit ashamed admiting it, but it had to be said.

Austin heard Cindy's voice on the radio and chuckled softly "Come on up Cindy - third floor, southern corner" he clicked off the Radio and turned to Ara "keep an eye on her the rest of the way up please" he asked her quietly

"I'm on my way." Cindy replied, before fiddling with the radio. "Urm, is it turned off yet?" She asked, which, of course, Austin could hear. "How about now?" Some more muffled fiddling. "Now?" Even more. "Well how do I-"
The radio went dead.
She entered the foyer, creeping slowly through the smashed wreckage. She was beginning to regret her fancy clothing, especially given the loud clicking her high heels made on the fancy marble floor. She might as well have jumped up and down and shouted 'here I am!'. But, since it was all her wardrobe consisted of, she didn't really have much choice.
Stairs were Cindy's natural enemy. People like Cindy didn't hold with the idea of physical exercise, or effort, and so when she arrived at the top of the stairs, she was out of breath, and panting quite sharply.
"Hello." She smiled to the collected Circle, nervously fiddling with her hair, as if the effort of climbing the stairs would have moved it out of shape. "Is everybody okay?" She realised she hadn't kept up with how the battle was going, and would have to find out.

Alucard stood idly by Austin, re-arranging what weapons he had remaining. He eyed up Cindy briefly before returning to examine some tears and rips on his coat. "Yeah, I'm ready"

"Third floor? Thought we would have been higher than that." Jaden mused to himself. He looked around at the members of the Circle and shook his head.
"We'll we're all here. Can't we just end this? I hate sitting around while the bad guys are planning the destruction of the world. It's more than likely that we are going to fail anyway, the odds are against us, seven against whatever evil Rino can conjour. When people look back on this day, whether we win or lose, will they say: 'The Circle fought to the last even when all hope had gone and death the only option.' Or will they remember us as the last people to stand up against tyranny sat licking there wounds before the final fight? I for one will rise to battle and even if all hell be brought forth, fight until I too am consumed by hell fire and the world be brought to ash around me." Jaden finished speaking.
He looked around the group, "Sorry, just anxious to be off." he said apologetically.

Adrienne nodded in response to Austin's request. She then offered Cindy a warm smile and absently adjusted the holster that held her revolver. "No problem Jaden." She said quietly.

"Nice of you to join us Cindy" he said as she arrived, gesturing towards Ara "Stay with Ara as we push up" he turned towards the others "I'm just as anxious as you guys are to get this over with, but we have to pace ourselves, otherwise we'll be worthless when we reach the top." he took a breath "Jaden, Kunoichi, take point, the rest of us will follow with Ara and Cindy at the back. lets get moving"

Cindy gave a shy smile back to all those welcoming her. A smile that said she'd really rather not be there. She still wasn't sure what use she'd be in an apocalyptic final battle, but she figured she might be able to answer some questions or something. Other than that, she just guessed she'd have to hide.
She turned to Adrienne, and filed into her position at the back of the group. She hadn't talked to Adrienne much before, but right now, wanted anything to take her mind off the fact they were in a heavily fortified demon fortress (also known as a lawyer's office block).
"You know those films, in which the people at the back of the group are always picked off first?" She said to Adrienne, still over-pronouncing every word with her posh accent. "....I am trying really hard not to think about those right now."

Adrienne smiled again. "Don't worry, I'll cover you and take out as many as I can if that happens." She said, trying to be reassuring as she took her position. "Though that's a good point." Adrienne said with a slight wince.

Jaden took point and led the others up the stairs and towards the final battle. He incounted no one from above, and moved at what seemed a snails pace to him. As each flight was assended the tention grew and the feeling that they were walking ever more into a trap.
As he walked Jaden re-loaded both his Colts with the blessed bullets. He felt he would have little need for regular ones now. Only eighteen blessed left, far to few for the task at hand.
He rounded a cornor and was greeted with a last flight or stairs and a door above. He climbed to the top and waited for the others. The final battle was drawing near.
