The City Musuem

[Carla Glenn]

Carla walked casually around the big entrance of the musuem in what was almost a happy school-girl skip, dressed in her usual tight black and red leather clothes and carrying a small satchel by her side.

Rino hadn't been too impressed by her fight with Hope. While he had understood her retreating after Austin showed up, he seemed to feel that Hope was getting the better of her (something which Carla knew in her gut was right, that hit with the trashcan had nearly done her in). But luckily, this was her chance to redeem herself.

And it was what she was best at. Breaking and entering.

It was sure to make Rino favour her again, there was no way Hope could do this. And Carla knew she was too good at it to fail.

She wondered past the entrance and to the back alley, before coming across a massive set of electrical transformers wired into the musuem.

"Oh, gee, Carla...I wonder how you're gonna get past this electrical security grid?" She baby-voiced to herself before grinning. She pulled a screwdriver out of her satchel and unscrewed the cover, before letting electricity leap from her hands into the transformer, and in moments the security system was deactivated.

Also the lights to the building over the road went out, but nobody was perfect.

She drew from her bag a long looking spear gun, and fired it. A grappling hook shot out and attached itself to the roof. She clipped the grappling gun to a hook on her belt, hit a button, and it began to retract, pulling her up the building.

In moments she was on the roof, and walked over to a ventalation shaft. She grabbed the cover and tugged. It didn't budge. She tried a few more times, and gave up with an irritated grunt.

"Welded?" She said aloud. "Who welds a grate to a ventalation shaft? How am I meant to break in when it's welded?" She shrugged, realising it wouldn't come off. "Say...if only there was a way I could melt the metal....say, with an electrical current of some kind?" She said aloud sarcastically. "Oh! Wait! I have an idea!" She exclaimed even more sarcastically, before frying the grate with her electricity, causing the metal to melt and warp until it opened up.

She peered into the tiny shaft and gulped; it was smaller than she'd like, but it'd do.
"Well, nobody said this job would be glamarous." She slinked into the ventalation shaft, and vanished as she descended into the building.

[Kunoichi]

from a short distance, Kunoichi saw the museum's lights go out

Power cut...? coincidence or is there another player...?

wandering around the back of the building she saw a window half open, about three floors up

running up the wall, she caught onto the window ledge and eased herself silently through the gap. Inside the museum was dark and silent, strange silhouettes standing everywhere

meh look at all this junk... i would have thrown it away years ago

not touching the floor, she flipped onto a rafter and clung, a move that would have made any olympic athelete cry and retire. Rolling she sat on top of her rafter and serveyed the area, her night vision improving by the second

I'm guessing they aren't going to be keeping the jewel here...

she swung down and peered at a directory, hanging onto the wall around it, to keep herself off of the floor

public exhibition hall... thataway

she giggled quietly, the first sound she'd made since entering the museum, before setting off, swinging from the light fittings towards the public exhibition hall, hoping that was where the jewel would be

Carla squirmed through the ventalation shaft, and soon reached a metal grate overlooking a massive hall.

"Well, that must be it." She sighed to herself, before wriggling to get to her satchel which was squashed behind her, but it was no good. The shaft was too tight for that. "Oh, fantastic." She muttered, "I'll do this the Carla-way then."

Again, blue lightning flashed as she melted the metal around the grate, causing it to drop. It landed with a loud clang.

"I sure hope there are no security guards about..." She muttered. "That could have gone quieter." She wriggled forwards, over the hole in the grate, which allowed her to get to her satchel. She pulled out the grappling hook and attatched it to the top of the shaft.

The drop wasn't that far, but she was wearing her usual stilletto boots and couldn't afford injuring herself upon landing. Plus, she had all these cool gadgets, so she might as well use them.

She lowered herself down out of the grate on the hook, and stopped just over the floor. There was no reason not to touch it since the grid was off, she just wanted to savour the moment.

Her feet touched down with a satisfying click and she smiled. Victory. She peered at the massive blue gem before her, encased in glass, and with a red velvet rope before it.

"Wow. I am foiled by the velvet rope." She said to herself in mock awe, before grinning. "Well, this was easy. There's no way Rino can like Hope over me now..."

[Kunoichi]

Kunoichi came around the corner silently and saw Carla standing in front of the gem
dammit... i knew i had an opponent... i shouldn't've stopped to steal look at the egyptian exhibit
she broke into a silent run before diving at the case, breaking it and stealing the gem in one swift movement; almost faster than the eye could see
"mine i think"
she called tauntingly to the other woman, running off down the hall way towards the exit

[Carla Glenn]

"Wha?" Carla blinked for a moment. "That BITCH!"

"You're not gonna get away with this!" Carla screamed as she flung her hands out, and electricity tore down the hallway after the blurry ninja, filling the room with blue light.

Carla's hair blew back wildly and she let out a scream of effort as she let out the powerful blast, making sure there was no chance of her missing her opponent.

"That gem is MINE!"

[Kunoichi]

"nu-uh!"
Kunoichi called back, diving out of a nearby window before the Electricity reached her, she then set off through the streets towards the HQ, pulling out her phone and ringing Austin
"I have the gem"
she said, trying despirately not to laugh

Carla's eyes went wide and she ran, diving out the same window, and firing her grapple hook in the air, directly at Kunoichi.

It hit something, but plummeting through the air, Carla couldn't really see what. Either way, it retracted, pulling her towards the annoying ninja at incredibly fast speeds.

She landed in a roll and didn't hesitate to blast lighting again, this time much closer and much more accurately.

"Do not mess with me!" Carla bellowed. "That's mine and you know it!"

[Kunoichi]

"nope, it's pretty mine at the moment"
Kunoichi called back, darting around the lightning blasts to aim a swift kick at Carla's head, having already stowed the gem away safely

[Carla Glenn]

Carla grinned and blasted lightning at the incoming ninja. She knew she couldn't hit her while she was dodging, but now she was attacking, and to attack, she had to hit Carla.

And to hit Carla, she had to come towards her. And that made her a much easier target.

She blasted Kunoichi with enough electricity to force her back into the far wall of the musuem. With any luck she'd smash through a window and end up far enough away for Carla to just pick up the gem and walk away.

[Kunoichi]

The electricity struck Kunoichi and sent her backwards a few feet, however Kunoichi wasn't a normal ninja; her suit protected her from the worst of the hit and she was able to land gracefully twenty feet away
"that was fun"
she grinned before spinning and throwing six of her throwing knives at Carla, making a spinning wall of projectile death

[Carla Glenn]

Carla dived aside with a yelp, landing behind a nearby trashcan, a knife sailing past so close she was certain it sliced some of her hairs.

"That wasn't!" She countered, before sending out a blast of electricity at the ninja's pocket, a simple instant buzz to make her drop the gem.

"I told you before, that is mine." She growled, before sending out more blasts of electricity to subdue the ninja while she went for the gem.

[Kunoichi]

Kunoichi dived and twirled to avoid the blasts of electricity, pretty much blurring to the human eye; appearing to pass through herself several times
"not a very good shot with that electricity are you?"
she jibed before shadow stepping closer and then diving a kick at Carla

[Carla Glenn]

"I'M A PERFECT SHOT DAMMIT!" Carla screamed, suddenly enraged. "I AM! I AM! I AM!" She yelled in an almost childlike sulk, this time blasting Kunoichi as she came in in the flying kick with all the power she could muster, and not letting off even for a moment, sending a current into her constantly.

"THIS IS MY POWER AND I AM THE MASTER OF IT!" She bellowed. "NOBODY MOCKS MY CONTROL OF IT! NOBODY!"

[Kunoichi]

Kunoichi shadow stepped again, just in time to evade the electricity, landing ontop of a nearby lamp post and watching the show
"So you keep saying but the evidence tells a different story"
she called over when the lightshow was finished
"it really is rather spectacular but you could use a better aim"

[Carla Glenn]

"And you could use a science lesson..." Carla growled, teary eyed from her fury and Kunoichi mocking her one ability. She knew she was inferior physically to the world that surrounded her (vampires, werewolves, super skilled humans).

Her electricity was her only power. And she couldn't stand to have it mocked.

"Metal conducts electricity." She explained as she sent a burst into the lampost the ninja was stood on, making the entire thing explode in a blue glow and the actual lamp explode in a display of shards of glass.
