Upon a small hill, just outside the town, stood an old rundown wooden hut with some broken windows and no front door. A lone figure walked around inside the dimly lit excuse of a building, obviously looking for something.
Inside, the figure(who was wearing dark classes but obviously see perfectly well, even in this light) pushed over a wardrobe which was full of small cardboard boxes, and entered a hidden trap door under it, but instead of opening the trap door he just fell through it, the wood rotten and damp didn’t do much to support his weight.
In the hidden cellar there was a small light bulb hanging from the ceiling that illuminated the room. The figure sat at a desk and wrote a sheet of paper with a fountain pen in very neat writing:
“Dearest Alucard, my darling brother
This is just another care package that I promised to send you. I don’t care if you want them, I know for a fact you use them. I do have friends in the city you know, and I heard about what you did to that van with those grenades. I must say, I am somewhat proud of you joining the circle, and all, helping out the innocent mortals (as innocent as they get anyway)
I am sorry, but I do not have as much in the way of explosives for you this month. My contact for that sort of hardware… disappeared in simple terms. As usual, here is a list of what is hopefully in the box that should be delivered with this letter. Please make the most of it.
I also got myself one of those ‘Mobile Phones’ that mortals seem obsessed with. Its number is on the back of this letter. I think I know how to use it. If you need me, just call!
Love, Markus”
Then on a second piece of paper he starts writing what looked like a shopping list, just not for normal people. It reads
“200 standard rounds
100 armour piercing rounds
Small block of silver
Three electronic timers
Ice box containing two blood packs
Sorry, that’s all I could get this month. Not very exciting is it?”
The person (apparently called Markus) neatly folded the letter and list together, and then placed the letter and the list nearly in an envelope along with a key, sealed it and placed it on the desk, then went to the other side of the room and placed cardboard boxes and a cool box with labels on them inside a larger metal box, then padlocked it shut.
Not that Alucard would need a key for that…
Outside there was the sound of a car pulling up to the house, then a series of beeps from the horn
“Why does he have to do that? I know he is there!” Markus said to himself as he heard the man enter the house.
“Markus! Markus!” the man shouted
“All right Karl calm down, I’m here” Markus replied
“”Markus! Someone followed me here! What should I do?” Karl shrieked, and then gunfire could be heard.
“Damn idiots mess with me…” Markus said, pulling a shotgun from under the desk. He went upstairs to see what was going on. Karl was hiding under a table in the darkest corner of the room, his hands over his head and shaking. “Don’t worry, its not you they want.” He said, looking at Karl, and then he turned to look outside. There were two human looking figures with pitiful submachine guns shooting in the air and cheering as they ran towards the house. The van that Karl has obviously come in had bullet holes along the side. Markus walked up to them “So, what do you want?”
“Markus, don’t you remember us?” one of the figures said
“Obviously not, otherwise you would be welcomed or dead by now. Who are you and why did you have to scare my delivery man?”
“We know what you do and who you work for, and we have come to stop you” The second intruder said, looking slightly nervous, and then he bought his sub machinegun up to aim at Markus
“You obviously don’t know who I work for, as I work for no one. Is that everything you have to say or can I kill you now?” Markus said casually, then in a blink of an eye, flipped his shotgun round and shot off the mans arm. The wounded man fell to the floor, screaming in pain.
“Stop! Don’t kill us! Hear us out!” the untouched man said.
“Why should I? You want to kill me and I want to kill you. Fair, right?” the last word were growled through clenched teeth
“But… we… were sent by-“the man didn’t have a chance to finish off his sentence. Markus had sunk his fangs into the mans necks and started draining his blood. The other man panicked and tried to get up, but without looking Markus aimed the shotgun at him, leaving a gaping hole in his targets chest.
Back in the house, Karl had calmed down and stood up. Looking out the window nervously, he saw Markus throwing his meal to the floor and then shooting at the body before it had the chance to turn, then Markus returned to the house
“Not as good as my favourite meal, but its not like they wander up here often” Markus said, looking like he was in a trance with blood seeping from his mouth. “Now Karl…” he said looking to Karl”about that delivery… I want you to find my brother…” Markus strode down into the cellar and bought up the large metal container in one hand and the letter in the other “…and make sure he receives these. If he doesn’t, ill come hunting for you. You understand?”
Karl stood up straight and nodded his head. Markus gave Karl a handful of money, then added some more on top “And that is for removing the bodies from my lawn and dumping them in the river. Got it?” Karl nodded again “Good. Now go, I have things to do.” At this, Karl dragged the box out to the van, loaded it on and looked at the blank envelope. There was never a name or address on them, but they always got to the receiver on time. he dragged the bloody bodies onto the van next to the box, then got into the van himself, started the engine and drove towards the city.
