Elizabeth sighed as she hopped up onto the kitchen counter top, a little awkwardly with one arm but she managed without spilling her tea - somehow.
"Help out the people who don't have a home to go to. And get yourself sorted. Taking on a demon that size." She made a sound of disgust in the back of her throat but refrained from the Look, she was greatful she really was, she just didn't want him getting hurt, the fact that he brought her son into such a dangerous situation well. He was luck she hadn't slapped him silly the moment she saw him earlier.
"If its funding you want, you don't even have to ask. This place needs a police station and it will keep me and Luciana just as safe as anyone else to actually have people looking to up hold the Law instead of the balance for once." She bit out sharply, scowling into her mug. She'd been here for a number of years, she'd lost count of friends who one day showed up with new scars or food preferrances or just didn't show up again at all. Nothing, no one did a damn thing, the monsters that did it were still walking around doing exactly the same thing to her other friends and it just made her so goddamn ANGRY.

Wright sat forwards, and began to explain himself. He'd been thinking about this. He had an idea. And maybe it was the drugs and the pain because it'd be a lot of work. But if tonight had done one thing (other than give him some new scars), it had made him want to change.
He guessed he could thank Eleri and Hadrian for that.
"It'll be different this time." He said, in a much more buisness like and confident tone. The type of tone a man who's whole world was policing could only adopt when talking about policing. "Coal Mine Street's Police House was completely blown up. To repair it brick by brick would cost too much and take too long."
"I was thinking somewhere a little...bigger. And a bit more central." Wright almost seemed excited. Well, the best he could be. "There's this building. The insides are pretty gutted, and it's mostly counts as derelict. It used to be called Edgehaven Yard. In the middle of the town. Back in the day..." He paused, as if remembering something painful. "...it used to be the main police station." He finally explained.
"It was...shut down, after it got...damaged." He certainly wasn't going into specifics. "And we've been cowering out here ever since. But if we really want to change things. If we really want to put things right, we could reopen it. Start recruiting people. Do our job properly!"
He finally stopped.
"Urr, I mean, if you're interested, of course..." He said, looking suddenly shy again, and giving the other two nervous glances indicating he meant them as well.

She gave him a flat look, "I said I would help did I not Captain Wright? If that means repairing this building and throwing enough silver, UV lights, weapons research and god only knows what else at it, then that is what I will do." She informed him coolly, "I've had enough of my neighbours, my friends, vanishing or showing up with a furry PMS problem or an appetite for raw man flesh. I'm tired of sleeping with a shotgun under my bed and wondering every night if I'm going to wake up to a house bathed in my childrens' blood, or if I'm going to wake up at all. It is a concern everyone here has Captain. If giving you full my full monetary assets from my businesses and the divorce settlement from my ex-husband helps them sleep better in their beds then you will have it." She declared mullishly, green eyes narrowed, just daring him to turn her down as she gulped angrily at her tea.

"O-o-okay..." Wright stammered, a little off put by the glare of pure evil. "Well, we'll do our best!" He did find himself wondering how much money Elizabeth had to fund the entire reconstruction of a police force. It can't be small money, even for someone like her. He'd seen their house (and wrecked a good deal of it!), they can't have been billionaires, could they? It didn't look like it. People like that lived in mansions, didn't they?
He shrugged it off. He couldn't argue. One last thing to get clear.
"Last time, it ended badly." He explained, without explaining. A real talent of Wright's. "It's dangerous. So if you want to rethink a certain someone's current job, I understand."
He didn't mention Hadrian by name out of politeness. He just didn't want to be responsible for the person funding him's son when he knew what they might be getting up to.

Eleri smiled gratefully at Elizabeth and followed her and Wright into the kitchen, covering her nose as she did. Once inside, she sat down heavily in a chair and took the cup of tea that was offered without a word.
Sipping her tea, she leant back and let Wright get on with it. After all, if she spent her whole life doing it for him, he'd never learn.
She closed her eyes and let the conversation flow over her. It helped to block out the smell of the blood, and although she could feel Wright's frustration and Elizabeth's anger, she was actually quite content. They were alive and mostly the city was safe. They were going up in the world. She had a cup of tea. With brandy.
She opened her eyes when she felt a question directed at her and smiled encouragingly at Wright. She was actually quite proud of him, in an odd way.
"Interested isn't the word, sir." She told him mildly. "The fact is that this city needs us. I'm in for the long haul, danger or none."
She decided against saying anything to Elizabeth - she could almost feel the blood boiling in her veins, and she had a feeling that an explosion was iminent.

She set her mug down and rubbed tiredly at her eyes, "I can tell him not to stay on, but me saying it and him doing it are completely different things." She growled unhappily, wishing for the days when he was small and adorable and hero-worshipped his older sister and used to make gingerbread cookies with her and suffer through tea parties with his twin. Back when she could just pick him up, ignoing the screaming, kicking and tears, and force him to sit in the corner or in his room until he was ready to see things her way. That wouldn't work now. As much as she sometimes wanted it to.
"Its his choice." She stated calmly, tensing ever so slightly as her arm gave a particularly nasty throb, "As for the station, I'll call the contruction company and security company that sets up my chains and the storeage warehouses. I'm assuming you'll be wanting some extras to deal with Edgehaven's more.... eclectic population, give the details to Hadrian and he'll give me the information I need to get the appropriate supplies and such." She hummed, her anger beginning to melt away as she turned her mind towards business, like her son with technology and her daughter with music, she was extremely sharp when it came to business.
"It won't be cheap, probably about 15% overall of my assets would be put into the reconstruction and upgrading of equipment." She mused thoughtfully, "If I use the rejected metals from the Hemani suppliers though, cost would be cut by a further 7% in the long run when silver plating the.... hmmm...." She trailed off, deep in thought now.

Numbers were Wright's natural enemy. So were people.
And other things too. In fact, most things were his natural enemy. But it still didn't help him understand what Elizabeth was saying at all.
But what it did mean was that they could actually do it.
"Alright, let's get to work on designing some way to keep those guys we catch...caught." He nodded to Eleri and Hadrian.
"...We're actually gonna do this." He said with shock, as if he couldn't quite believe it himself.
((Um, this might be a good spot to stop so we can just pick up later, although if there's anything else anybody wants to add, feel free. I dunno, I'm just concious we have to stop at some point)).

((Yeah, this is a good point. Lizzie's getting stuck into the plotting, Wright's having a revaltion that he may actually have to work/sober up, Eleri is.... well doing Eleri things. Hey.... whatever happened to Nolan and the other people at the Police station? They weren't in there when it went boom, what happened to them?))

((Nah, I'd say here is as good a point as any. It's cliffhangery. And yea, I should probably post this as Eleri, but I can't be arsed to log out and back in just to post OOC ))

((Nolan and Sampson, our handy police NPCs, were off duty, is my excuse. Well, it was night I guess. As much as night happens in the TOTD. I figure we can probably keep them around when the station's rebuilt, just so it's not only three people still. Then phase them out if we get more members.
Of course, any better ideas and I'm up for that too!)).
