Zack grimaced slightly, and finally paid attention to the cigarette that had burnt almost down to the filter. He stubbed it into the ashtray and quirked an eyebrow at Dillon,
"I'd be careful there. Not only do they tattoo you, but your chance of getting shot in the nads increases by about 50%. Vincent has a rather...twisted sense of justice."

Felix looked at the man, good grief, he reminded him of a retarded puppy! All enthusiasm but not an ounce of common sense or focus.
He gave him a faint smile, "I'm sure you'll find something." He assured the somewhat loopy-slayer before catchign what Zack said and giving him a wide eyed look.
Alright, definitely avoiding this Lemartes Chap.

"Aw, not my nads!" Dillon cried. "That's almost as bad as getting shot in the head! Gee, sure am lucky that never happened ...Oh wait a minute...." He managed to pull off a surprisingly effective version of The Look at Zack. After you'd been shot once, it took more than the threat of getting shot again to worry you.
Besides, if he had a pound for every employer who now wanted him dead...
"Aw, thanks, Mistwer Felix, you're da best!" He cried sarcastically to Felix for his comforting words. At least, everybody hoped it was sarcasm...

Zack blinked, before chuckling at Dillon. The guy was clearly a few bricks short of a house mentally, but he was interesting, quirky and had some surprising moments of clarity from time to time from what he'd seen. He raised his hands in a slightly apologetic manner,
"Okay, okay, point taken. Jus' saying that sadism seems to run right through the blood line of that family." He lowered one hand and grabbed his drink again. Taking a sip, he tilted his head at the Slayer with a small quirk of the lips,
"Do you really want one of these things?" he asked, calmly waving his tattooed hand at Dillon.

"Got two myself, thanks." Dillon waved his hands at Zack, adding "Hello!" For effect.
"I can chop yours off too if you want. Then I'd have three. Hey, if I cut off your hand, do you still work for them?" He asked, apparently genuinally interested, not having worked out that cutting off Zack's hand might cause Zack a problem or two.
"Nah, I just want the pay cheque, y'know. Not much point being a sword for hire if nobody hires you..." Dillon couldn't hide his glee at least at getting to drop 'sword for hire' into the conversation again.

Felix arched an eyebrow as he dried the glasses and put them away before glancing to Madoc who had been surprisingly quiet throughout this exchange.

Zack actually looks thoughtful for a moment,
"Well, I wouldn't be branded that's for sure," he dug in his pocket to dig out his cigarettes again, "But I like my hand where it is, thanks all the same. I can throw twice as many knives with two hands - it's a useful skill, if I do say so myself." He lights the end of the cigarette and takes a puff of it,
"That being said; from what I've seen Lemartes is more of a permanent deal. You'd get a pay cheque all right, but you wouldn't be a 'Sword for Hire' anymore so much as a 'Sword for the Lemartes, and ONLY the Lemartes'. Then again, it's up to you. I can always try and get you in for a talk with someone if you do feel like putting on a few shackles for money."

"Sword for hire has a better ring, I guess..." Dillon admitted sadly, abandoning the whole idea.
"Still, could cut your tatoo off. Burn it off! That always works! Then you'd be free!" Dillon grinned to himself.
"Man, I'm so smart! I've outwitted this Vincent guy already!"

Madoc sat quietly, drinking his pint and listening to Zack and Dillon. He got the impression that, between the two of them, he'd actually rather be in a fight with Zack. Dillon seemed the more dangerous of the two, probably because of his inability to think like a normal human being.
He responded to Felix's arched eyebrow with an eyeroll in the direction of Zack and Dillon, and shook his head slightly.

"Somehow," Felix started, "I don't think they'd buy it." He told Dillon with a slight smirk before pausing, "I just realised, none of us even know your name. What is it?" He asked, looking at Zack curiously.
Sure the guy pissed him off something chronic, but he was somewhat tolerable, at least he didn't start fights for no reason. Better make him a friend, at least that way Felix could smack him upside the head and not get in trouble for it with Moe.

Resting his cigarette on the edge of the ashtray, Zack holds out his hand to Felix in a general handshake greeting.
"Right. My name's Zackary Kalen. But I prefer Zack. The only people who use 'Zackary' are the Lemartes," he said, drumming the fingers of his free hand on the table, "And you are?"

The blonde set his glass aside and grabbed the other vamp's hand, "Felix Dolohov." He returned before releasing the other's hand and picking his glass up, a slight frown forming on his face, "Kalen.... Kalen... I've heard that name before." He muttered thoughtfully, "Oi Moe, know any Kalens?" He asked the knarly old man.
He nodded, "Just the one. Jaden Kalen, one of them Circle-Night Watchy people. Whatever the heck they're callin' themselves now. Useless buggers." The old barman grumbled, apparently he had either been hanging around Wright too long or he was one of themore aware citizens of Edgehaven - he knew when people were either trying to protect the balance of power, or protect the people. The Night Water were the former, regardless of how some of them tried to do the latter, he'd never seen one of them get down and dirty to protect a stranger in this place.

Dillon perked up at the mention of the Night Watch. "Ohhh, those those superhero guys, right?" He asked. It was, pretty much, a Dillon-esque description of what the Night Watch did.
"Been trying to find them. Figure there's gotta be a good career in supervillainy. Y'know, get myself established, practice an evil laugh, 'Mwahahahaha! Little did you know this was all a plan of the Swordmaster!!!'. That kinda thing. It'd be great."
He paused, mulling the idea that he had, despite claiming otherwise, only just come up with.
"Though I don't really know how supervillains get paid..."

Madoc laughed bitterly. "Damn right." He said to Moe, then turned to Dillon. "I wouldn't say 'superheros' as much as 'bloody nuscances'." He scoffed. "Unless you count blowing stuff up and getting people hurt as being a superhero."
"Name's Madoc, by the way." He added to Zack, nodding once, before going back to his pint.

"Um, isn't that all superheroes do?" Dillon pointed out. "I mean, I figured you were just a regular hero unless you blew up at least two city blocks in the process of your heroing, at which point you qualify for 'super' status. More innocent civilians you accidently put in harm's way so you can later either save them or just do that annoying 'dark' thing the better."
"....Okay, so I've read comic books, don't look at me like that!" He protested. "Except that one that comic book thief took!" He added bitterly.
