Zack's grin echoed one a child wore when they were lying out of the other end of their arse and they knew it - a little too wide and dripping with faux innocence,
"Well. Maybe a little more than a little, but I'm trying to be somewhat nice here," he said, leaning his chin on the palm of his hand, "It's a new direction for me, I know, but every journey starts with single step...or something like that. Confucious say, etc, etc."

The grin tilted into a smirk but the eyebrow remained raised, "A new direction huh? Sure this one doesn't go in a circle and off in the opposite direction?" He asked teasingly as the washer flashed at him to say it was done.

Zack shrugged, and started rummaging around in his pockets for his pack of cigarettes again,
"I never said it wouldn't do a 180 and return to normal suddenly," he said, digging out a cigarette and brandishing the unlit stick like a mini-weapon, "I could always accidentally blow somewhere up if I feel I'm being too nice."
He clicked his lighter a couple of times, and sucked at the end of the cigarette when it had been lit,
"But for now, I think I'll stick with being amiable. Although I doubt it'll last."

Felix held a hand up, "Please don't blow up the bar." He requested, the smirk turning into a small smile as he began to unload the glasses and give them a wipe with the tea-towel before setting them in their proper places on the shelves beneath the bar. "Moe would dock my pay."

Zack exhaling slowly, smoke curling into the air around him lazily,
"Well, seeing as you asked so nicely," he shrugged, before yawning widely and cracking his jaw a little in the process, "I guess I can avoid the bar when I snap and blow things up in a fit of rage. Although I like to believe I'm sane enough to last a good long time without going off the edge."

He chuckled, "Thanks ever so." He told the other vampire, "I'm sure we will all sleep the better for it knowing that we won't be exploding any time soon." He added with a cheeky grin.

Madoc nodded in agreement with Dillon. "You're right there, mate. That was a stunning goal, that." He waved over to Felix, who was apparently on friendlier terms with Zack now. "Another pint and some nuts, if there's any lying about, please mate." He said jovially. "You want another one?" He asked Dillon. Talks about football called for manly beverages, and that meant beer and nuts.
"Rodriguez's penalty was way out of line." He continued. "That ref is either biased or just bloody useless, any idiot could see Conrad was faking it. Beautiful bit of footwork by Moretto in the second half though."

"What teams were playing then boys?" She said as she tried to act dumb. She did however enjoy watching the odd game of football and sort of understood it. She genuinely did wonder what teams were playing in this so called match as she had never heard of the players they were talking about.
She sussed it was a way to exclude her and thought it was probably cos she was out numbered by species and gender.
She downed her drink and turned to get Felix's attention.
Suddenly she thought why not play them at their own game and turn from being flirty to see if she could get one up on them. She thought if they want to play mean then its a game, and i dont like losing.
"Could i have a pint of guniess please?" she smiled as the plan was forming in her mind. "Me and the girls are gonna have a pint and discuss last nights game."
She flashed Madoc and Dillon as grin as if to say the game is on.

Dillon grinned. He'd had a back up plan for this too. After all, annoying people was his speciality.
"Really? Don't meet many female fans." He said with an intentionally dismissive air.
"I mean, don't get me wrong, the female Ultimate Frisbee leagues are excellent too, but mostly it's just the guys that follow it."
He paused, and smirked.
"What? Sorry, did you guys think I talking about football?" He asked with, apparently, genuine concern.

Felix shook his head at the others as he got Dillon and Madoc their beers and nuts and poured Chadwick her guiness. This was going to be interesting, he decided handing over the drinks and making a note that Chadwick's 16.10 was now 14.60.

"Well when growing up being the only girl, out of 5 kids, its forced upon you. But i watch it for the same reason you watch the female Ultimate Frisbee leagues, no doubt love."
She knew there wasnt such a sport as the female Ultimate Frisbee leagues, and if there was she thought he'd only watch it cos it was women running around.
She was right. they were singling her out cos she was the only female.
She took the pint with a smile. "Thank you." She took a sip and turned back to the interesting conversation.

"Because you just can't stand to see a frisbee hit the floor?" Dillon asked. "I mean, you know, it's just so sad to see a discarded plastic disc. Ever since I was little, and I rescued my first discarded frisbee from the grass...I just knew, I had to always make sure all frisbees had a home and were caught and..."
He sniffed, as if having some tearful memory.
"Strange reason to watch football though." He shot at her.
Dillon wasn't making Ultimate Frisbee up, of course. Which somehow made it sadder...

Felix listened to the exchange with an expression of complete and utter bemusement before turning to Chadwick, deciding to take pity on the woman before she got the wrong idea about Dillon and a fight broke out.
"Ignore most of what comes out of his mouth. He took a bullet to the head and now his reality is a little skewed." He explained simply, absently scratching at his jawbone and repressing the desire to shimmy out of his skin and take some sandpaper to his flesh.

"Ah makes sense. I thought he was a bit cuckoo." She giggle.
She saw the young vampires unease and was curious why he was acting this way.
"Are you ok?" She asked curiously. "You look uncomfortable..."
Was it something she'd said or done. This was a one of the first times she'd been the only Lycan in a confined space. She knew the blood fued affected older vamps and weres but he looked like he was her age. She thought it had all died down. She only came in for a drink and to make some friends. She hadn't had many friends since she arrived in Edgehaven and thought if humans and vamps could get along what made her so different.

He shrugged a shoulder and scratched his eyebrow, "Dunno. Guess its that whole Vamp-Were bloodfued thing. Never encountered another were before so I'm not entirely sure." He admitted absently, shifting to scratch his wrist instead of his eyebrow now.
