The urge to bury his head against the other Vampire's shoulder blossomed in the moment when Dillon finally opened his mouth to share what he had been stewing over since his rejection by 'Talky the Hat Stand' and ended in Felix burying his face into his own hands with a muffled whimper that had nothing to do with the headache. "Oh god," he whispered, "My childhood...."

Zack snorted, tangling a hand into Felix's hair when the other vampire attempted to bury himself into Zack's collarbone. His fingers massage at Felix's scalp soothingly as he chuckled lightly at Dillon's external monologue.
"Mornin' to you too Dillon. I would be worried you're so obsessed with a fairy, but this is you. It comes with the highly unique territory."

Felix sighed quietly, "He's destroying my childhood," he complained quietly, "And he called the Leader of the Night Watch a Hat Stand in front of Kana."

"I said nothing that wasn't true!" Dillon snapped defensively, pointing an accusing finger at the two other bar dwellers. "Don't blame me if you two aren't interested in important current affairs, like inappropriate and unqualified pieces of hallway furniture being given positions of authority!" He thumped his fist on the bar for emphasis, hoping that it backed up his point in the way that thumping fists seemed magically capable of.
"And if you think it's a non-issue, dangerous fairies being allowed near immortal-flying-swashbuckling children, then I just can't agree! Personally I think Captain Hook was on to something." He added, aghast that they hadn't taken his side over this potent issue.
"So in conclusion, we should all become pirates." He finished with a rather large leap of logic.

Azrael buried himself in his thoughts, trying to find an explanation for how Carla escaped. She couldn’t have flown away? Azrael thought. Thinking back as far as he could, he was perfectly sure that Carla did not have a demon form. Upon catching up with Austin, he stopped the car and opened the door to let him in. At first, Azrael felt aggravated with him. Why didn’t he just give me the kill order? I had her; I could’ve finished her, Azrael thought. Carla was on the top of the Night Watch’s hit list, and they let her get away.
No, Azrael thought, calming himself. Austin obviously had a good reason for wanting her alive, or he would not have made me keep her there. Thinking more rationally, Azrael also realised that it was his failure to keep her in one place that allowed her to escape. He was too overconfident that he and Austin would be able to catch her again. No matter, Azrael thought. They still had some form of intel. She seemed to know the people down at the ‘Broken Bottle’. Azrael didn’t think it’d be a feasible chance that she would show her face there again; that would be foolish, but there was also the element of investigation. The Night Watch could assign someone to the pub to find more information about Carla.
Kunoichi was the first person to come to Azrael’s head, and he smiled at the thought. How appropriate…

"What, you mean Austin?"
Zack tilted his head thoughtfully, fingers still circling on Felix's scalp , before his face broke into a grin,
"He's got a point though. The guy is pretty tall. And he does wear a hat. Who says he can't wear a few more - bet he'd look pretty swish in that sombrero."
... if by swish you mean "even more of a douche" but Zack's not one to openly label people when he could totally keep it to himself and laugh at them behind their back.

"We're going to have Ninjas stalking us now," the blond complained, "Night Watch Ninjas." Then he registered the crack about the sombrero and snickered, feeling something in his skull beginning to relax slightly, the ache was still there, like a rubber-band pulled too far, but it had loosened and no longer felt like it was on the painful breaking point.
"He needs a fez. A natty little purple one," he decided with a small smirk uncurling on his lips.

"It's okay to go in right?" William Dane spoke aloud as he looked at the entrance of The Broken Bottle Pub. "They probably get new people all the time!" He never liked entering a new pub. All those unfamiliar faces looking at him. Judging him. Gauging if he was there to cause trouble or not.
After taking a few breaths to calm his nerves William stepped forward and opened the Pubs front door. Upon entering, he almost considered turning about face and finding another pub, as he caught what seemed to be the tail end of a conversation concerning various characters from Peter Pan and Ninjas! But, taking one or two more deep breaths, he resumed his progress towards the bar and took a seat, trying to ignore any glances/stares that were thrown his way.

Felix heard the sound of the door opening and closing and heavy footsteps almost hesitantly making their way towards the bar, the squeak of the barstools as the person sat down. He didn't want to look up. He didn't want to move really. Zack gave glorious head massages.
But alas, this was...
He sighed and braced his hands against Zack's chest before ducking free of those lovely fingers to go and serve his new customer, managing to force a polite smile onto his previously miserable face. "The Bar's closed right now but I can serve you non-alcoholic drinks and various barsnacks. Is there anything I can get you?" he asked trying to inject as much enthusiasm as he could muster into his voice. He just ended up sounding less tired than he actually was but at least it was an improvement.

With a slight Jump William raised his eyes to the face of the bartender and smiled, doing his best the anxiety of being the new guy in town. "I'll have a Coke please." He said as politely as he could with out being melodramatic. Glancing over his shoulder at the bar, his eyes widening in near surprise/shock as he finally and, some how only just, noticed the carnage that was the main room of the Pub. He didn't want to ask what happened. it seemed like a subject best left untouched.
Turning around he fished his wallet from his pocket and pulled out a fiver to pay for his drink.

Nodding, Felix ducked down to grab at a fresh glass, thanking most every deity that they hadn't been broken during Carla's electrical discharge earlier - the washing machine was fucked, he could tell that already, so were the fridges and the pumps - all of them either ran off electricity or had a lot of metal. So instead of even trying the pumps he used the bottles from the fridge and opened it up.
"That'll be a pound twenty," he said accepting the fiver and getting the other man his change, idly wondering if he could go back to getting his head rubbed after he'd finished serving this guy as he handed over the three eighty in change.

"Thanks" William replied still smiling as he accepted the change and began to sip from his drink. The Bartender looked nice enough so William felt tempted to ask a question, but he reconsidered seeing that as he was the new guy in town and no one knew him at all. it wouldn't be the best decision to ask right away, after all he didn't want to look like a bloody news reporter.

Kami above, if this guy were any jumpier he'd be a rabbit. Felix refrained from rolling his eyes slightly, he must have had an encounter already. Non-locals were usually pretty shaken up the first time they encountered something grim hiding in the shadows of the alley-ways that was interested in taking a chunk out of their leg. Possibly out of other limbs as well.
"Ask," the blond told him brusquely. "I'm not going to bite you so feel free to ask any questions. You're clearly not local," he added giving him a once over. Still, he was smart enough to be armed and he was in one piece, small mercies, either he was better than he behaved or just putting on an act.

"I must look like an idiot" William thought in his head. "Ask about what?" The man replied a look of genuine confusion on his face. He didn't know where to begin! Maybe he could start with why the town seemed to be under some sort of spell that covered it in eternal darkness, or maybe why the pub seemed to be a live fire zone for the military!
A few moments later William looked at the bar tender and replied with "What happend here?" after finishing his question he took another hasty sip of his drink to prevent himself from saying anything that would offend someone.

The blond smirked a little sardonically, head thumping painfully in remembrance and the urge to bury his head back in Zack's shoulder for a head massage came back. He didn't though. Dillon and Madoc were one thing, even the EHPD were acceptable, strangers were another matter.
"The city or the bar?" he asked lightly. "The City's been this way for over four centuries, town of eternal darkness and for good reason. The bar... well, if I were you, I'd avoid any half demons in the area and steer clear of the Night Watch in every capacity. They aren't afraid to shoot by-standers." Felix's hand twitched in fury at the thought of that arrogant cunt who very nearly shot Madoc for simply stepping in and trying to defend, as he saw it, a defenceless woman who was doing nothing more than nursing a hangover and unable to even stomach porridge.
