William couldn't help but let his mouth hang open as the man explained the situation concerning the town and pub, but after regaining his composure he placed his drink down on the bar and spoke. "Pardon my asking but, Whats The Night Watch?" The man scratched the back of his head and sighed slightly before continuing. "Sorry... As you guessed I'm not from here, i only got into town half an hour ago" it was at that moment William decided to shut up as it sounded like he was rambling.

Felix blinked. That was.... unexpected.
He glanced over at the suspiciously quiet Dillion and Zack. How best to explain? Because it was sounding like this guy showed up in town with even less information than he did in the beginning.
"They keep the balance. They ensure no one species is top of the food-chain, running the whole thing. That's dangerous territory in these parts, especially when you have Human Trafficking Rings run by Vampyres, Demons trying to open Hell Gates and, well, I think the wolves are the quietest of us all. I'm fairly sure at one point the humans rose to try and kick everything else out. That was decades ago if memory serves." He'd read about it in an old book, whether it was just a plan to or if it'd actually gone ahead he didn't know.

"It was sometime around WWII I believe." Said Madoc, slinking in through the back door and looking around cautiously. "They're gone, right?" He added, sidling around the bar and glancing around. Seemingly satisfied that some semblance of order had been restored, he plonked himself down at his customary seat at the bar.
The usually scruffy young man had obviously recently showered - his longish black hair hung damply around his shoulders - although there was still a considerable amount of stubble on his cheeks. He carried a plastic bag in one hand and held an unopened packet of cigarettes in the other.
"Morning Dil, Briar Rose." He said, stripping the plastic from his cigarettes and nodding at his fellow bar-flies. "And new blood! Excellent! Er... you're not going to shoot anyone, are you?" He added, eyeing the redhead nervously.

It was impossible, he couldn't help it, Williams mouth dropped open to the point where had this of been a Disney movie his mouth would be touching the floor.
"So wait....Vampyres? Demons? Werewolves? did i step into a episode of super natural!?" He had to resist raising his voice, and took a deep gulp of his drink. "Sorry.." he said after calming down. It was when the most recent person to enter the room entered and asked if he had shot some one that he had to lay his head down on the bar to calm down for a moment. This was all to much

A blond eyebrow shot up, "You're talking to two Vampires and a Slayer right now," he pointed out before glancing at Madoc and quickly rounding the bar to get a better look at him to make sure he was undamaged, his continued paranoia over his friend's wellbeing after the very near miss with the Night Watch earlier making him rather Mother Hen-ish. "Briar Rose? I'm going to assume that was directed at Zack," he declared and then turned back to the new-comer.
"I'm Felix. Owner and Bartender here. Day Walker Vampire and yes, if a spell can turn this city into eternal night regardless of the turning of the planet, a little problem such as things that go bump and howl in the night are not too far beyond the pale. You're either very lucky you made it this far without knowing anything, or someone up there is having a laugh and waiting for the next apocalypse to happen so they can screw you over harder."

"Correct!" Madoc replied to Felix. "Sleeping Beauty's real name, you know." He noticed William's reaction to his question and shrugged. "Guess not." He pulled a cigarette out of the carton and lit it, pulling an ashtray towards him.
"Hmmm.... yup, that pretty much sums up life in Edgehaven." He nodded sagely. "Don't worry though, mate, most of them are pretty normal. I mean, overlook Zack's occupation and he's just your normal badass. Felix is pretty much the best damn bartender in the city and Dillon..." he glanced at the Slayer. "Well, Dillon's a special case. Mostly harmless though."
He took another drag on his cigarette. "Oh yeah, almost forgot. I brought you a present, Fe." He dumped the carrier bag on the bar and turned it upside down, revealing a pair of marigold gloves, a roll of kitchen towel, scrubbing brushes and several kinds of cleaning fluid. "To apologise for leaving you in the shit, I'm your own personal cleaner for the morning."

The Day Walker blinked briefly, that was.... "You can handle the mens' then," he decided immediately. While Madoc dealt with that he could repair the bullet holes in the walls and sort out the half-melted metal fixings that Carla had caused and mop up the mess that bastard had made across his floor.

Madoc grinned. "Somehow, I knew you were going to say that." He stubbed his cigarette out in the ashtray and snapped on his rubber gloves. "Don't chuck that, I'll finish it later." He leapt off the stool and stood to attention. "Point me to your mop! And don't say I never do anything for you." He added cheekily.

"You want any help?" William offered lifting his head from the bar before downing the last of his drink. "I got nothing to do at the moment in Edgehaven"
To be honest to get by in this town it would probably be best for him to get in the good books of the locals, plus it looked like these guys could use some help.

Madoc blinked. "You.... want to help me clean up vomit? You're definitely new." He laughed. "Still, I'd never say no to an offer like that." Scooping up the kitchen roll from the bar, he threw it at William. "I'm Madoc, by the way."

"I shall endevour to never let it pass my lips again," the blond said as solemnly as possible. And then blinked as the stranger offered to help. This was.... new and suspicious.
Wordlessly, he grabbed the mop and handed it over to Madoc, eyeing the stranger carefully. He was armed, knife and at least one gun. He was moving one arm more carefully against his chest than the other and there was a rather distinct fold of his trouser leg that indicated some kind of ankle holster, the length and lack of secondary fold suggested a knife.
"Give us a shout if you need something," the blond told his friend before slowly making his way back around the bar and shifting Madoc's cigarettes under it so they wouldn't get either stolen or damaged.

"William Dane" He replied catching the Roll "Where do you want me to start?" he inquired taking a few pieces from the roll and glancing around the wreckage. "Also know any place i can get a job around here?"
He was thinking about starting small, maybe with a job at a corner shop, but then again, working in a shop may not be the best place to start in a city like this.

Madoc nodded. "Will do," he assured the blond, taking the proffered mop. He noticed the way his friend was watching the newcomer and took another, closer, look. Ah, he's armed. He thought. Madoc honestly hadn't expected that - very few people outside of Edgehaven walked around with weapons on them and this guy really didn't seem like the type. He shook it off - it wasn't like the guy was the only armed person in the bar, after all.
"You heard the man. Bloke's toilets. Nasty pile of vomit in there waiting for someone to slay it." He grinned and grabbed an armful of cleaning supplies from his pile. "This way," he added, disappearing through the door.
A few seconds later, he stuck his head out again. "Oh, and you might want to take a deep breath before you come in. It's not exactly a bed of roses in here."
He purposely ignored the question about employment - he wasn't the right person to ask. After all, Madoc couldn't remember the last time he actually had to work for his money.

Felix looked the man over, "Places are always recruiting. People die or get eaten pretty easy in this town. Night Watch are looking for more members, Edgehaven Police Department too, Lemartes too but unless you're a Vamp or at least not unopposed to killing things I wouldn't recommend it." He resolutely did NOT glance back at Zack as he said this. Anyone with half a braincell knew the brunet hated his current job and if he had the option he would drop it like a hot potato.

"Thanks" William replied as he walked over to the mens loos. "Edgehaven police?" he pondered on that particular choice his Father had mentioned something about William following in his foot steps.
This thought however, was pushed to the back of his mind as the smell of the toilets hit his nostrils like a freight train and he coughed a little before unravelling the Kitchen roll some more and beginning his work on the puke that stained the bath room floor.
