Zack's eyebrow quirked slightly at Dillon, and he rolled the cigarette between his fingers slightly with a lesser version of the grin he'd directed at Felix,
"I know, terrible habit, isn't it?" he was well aware of the implications behind the original statement, but Zack wasn't really one for playing ball when it came to saying what he was expected to say. He took a slow drag from the cigarette and sighed, "But what can you do, huh?"
At Felix's barely concealed dislike, Zack can't help but let his grin grow a little wider, and a little more crooked,
"Aw, I'm wounded. Not happy to see me?" he placed the hand not holding a cigarette over his heart, as if in pain, before adding "...I'll have a Kopparberg. Apple. None of that pear shit."

Felix refrained from a smart ass comment but couldn't help but bristle before nodding once and moving off to the fridge a little further down and digging between bottles. Grabbing the requested bottle he cracked it open and placed it on the bar, "Two twenty." He requested firmly, not letting go of the glass just yet.

Slipping his hand into his jacket pocket, Zack pulled out his wallet and dug around in the change pocket until he found the right amount of coinage. Cupping the money in his hand, he held it out to Felix. He could play that game too - until Felix took the money, he wouldn't relinquish it, and until he paid the money, he wouldn't get his drink. That was a minor downside though. Plus it would mean Felix would have to have some kind of body contact with him, and that would just be hilarious given the other vampire's unconcealed frustration at him being in the bar right now.
Anything for a laugh.

A stoic confrontation between two vampires was a time for sane people to be quiet.
So, of course, Dillon said; "Whoa, so, I'm feeling some real sexual tension here. What's this, some kinda vampire thing? He drink your virgin?" He asked to Zackary, purely because he hadn't yet tried to wind him up. Plus, truth be told, Dillon didn't want to get thrown out either.
"...'cause, if you two are about to make out or anything, I want advanced warning."

The blonde's left eye twitched slightly before he let go of the bottle and moved to take the money from the other Vampire's hand.
He had met Zack before, it hadn't gone well, now it was taking every ounce of self control not to cuss the older male out and then proceed to throw him out.
Then Dillon spoke.
And Felix choked, wrenching his hand back as though it had been burned and staring absolutely agog at the Slayer, his face burning bright red. "WHAT!?" He half snarled half squeaked.

"I said..." Began Dillon, with the patient attitude of one repeating something to a child, "...that I'd like advanced warning if you two are gonna start making out."
He turned disparingly to Madoc, apparently having forgotten the two very nearly came to blows themselves earlier.
"You'd think he'd listen the first time, wouldn't you?" He sighed. "...Although I often find people stop listening to me after a while. Wonder why?" He asked himself thoughtfully.

It took all of about three seconds for Zack to burst into amused laughter. His hand dropped to the table, and his forehead hit the edge of the bar as he tried to reign in his chuckles. Eventually, he tilted his head to direct his grin towards the human a little way away from him,
"No worries. I'll let you know if I get a sudden urge to stick my tongue down his throat," he reassured the man, before lifting his head from the bar and running his free hand through his hair as he addressed Felix, "So are you gonna give me the drink I'm paying for, or what?" he asked, nonplussed and expression morphing into a slightly bored one, as he grabbed the younger vampire's wrist and dropped the coins from his own hand into Felix's palm.
((50 points AND a high five.))

Felix growled, face still dark red as he pulled his wrist back and placed the bottle on the bar in front of the other Vampire, shooting Dillon an absolutely filthy look as he stomped off to the till ignoring the way Moe was sniggering at him before grabbing the nearest titty-mag and smacking his boss around the head with it.
"Oi!" He grunted before Felix stalked back over to finish cleaning up the glasses.

Zack picked up his drink off the bar counter, and watched Felix with amused, narrowed eyes as he took out his anger in a violent, but non-damaging way on his boss. He lifted the bottle to his lips and took a satisfying draught of the alcohol, then lowered the bottle with a contended sigh.
He raised one hand to his neck and tilted it to one side, the hand pressing against the junction of the neck and the shoulder until it apparently clicked and released some of the pent up tension there.
"Y'know, all that anger isn't good for you," he told Felix, as he returned behind the bar. Picking up his drink, he took another sip before continuing, "You should find an outlet for it. Have you ever tried yoga?" he finished, with another cat-like grin on his face.

The blonde gritted his teeth and turned his attention to the glasses, bastard, bastard, bastard, bastard, bastard. A tendon in the back of his hand jumped as he put one of the glasses down, perhaps a little more forcefully than he should have - thankfully it remained undamaged.

Zack smirked slightly, the top of the bottle still pressed against his mouth as he noted Felix's barely supressed rage.
"...You don't have much anger control, do you?" he said, rhetorically, setting down the bottle and leaning his chin in the palm of his hand, "Then again. You don't look very old either. Can't have anger control if you haven't experienced enough anger to work out how to deal with it," he reasoned to himself, before taking another slow drag of his cigarette, and exhaling through his nose.

Post by Madoc Wythers on Jun 9, 2009 20:23:38 GMT
Madoc watched the two vampires with interest - mainly because he wanted to be ready to bolt if he had to. That was one of the things you learnt fairly quickly in Edgehaven - a human in the middle of a vampire fight is never a good thing. The newcomer, by Madoc's reckoning, was a full-blood Vampire, as opposed to a Day Walker like Felix. They were alright, in his experience, but you always got one or two you had to watch out for, and Madoc figured the new guy was one of them.
He had to laugh though, at Dillon's comment, or at least try not to laugh. He knew better than that, given the situation. It turned out that the slayer's badly-timed comments were actually quite funny when they weren't aimed at him. He shrugged in response. "Couldn't say." He replied casually, mentally plotting the quickest path to the door.
He looked around, confused, as the new vampire started laughing, and then noted that Felix was still glaring daggers. He finished his pint and quietly put his pint down on the bar.
"Y'know, I think you should be ready to move. Just in case." He told Dillon, still watching Felix carefully. He didn't particularly like the slayer, but that was no reason to let him get killed by angry Vamps, and he'd never seen the young bartender show more than mild annoyance before, so he had no idea what to expect next.

Felix stilled, took a deep breath, pinched the familiar flap of skin at the bridge of his nose and counted to ten in Russian under his breath, then he counted back to one in japanese.
Feeling a lot less prone to homicide, he dropped his hands and returned to the glasses, glancing briefly at Madoc with a raised eyebrow before turning his attention back to the other Vampire and gave him a strained smile, "That is a matter of perspective." He stated as calmly as possible before beginning to put away the now clean glasses.

"I suppose," Zack shrugged slightly, tapping some cigarette ash into a nearby ashtray, "it's a perspective I've usually found to be right though. But the counting in different languages thing is a new one. Usually people just try and punch me in the face." He gave Felix a half-grin, before flickering his gaze to Madoc and Dillon with slight intrigue.
Dillon was interesting enough - he was completely unbothered being around two vampires, one of whom was doing his damn best to irk the other into some sort of reaction. If he were to hazard a guess, Zack would say he dealt with vampires pretty regularly. The fact he was so unafraid was either due to a slight lack of something upstairs, which was entirely plausible, or because he had enough confidence in his fighting skills to know he could hold his own against a vampire. At this point in time, Zack was liable to believe a little of column A, and a little of column B.
Madoc on the other hand, couldn't've looked twitchier if he'd just been electrocuted. There was a strange mix of interest and common-sense fear for his own hide about the man.
"You look like you're about to bolt," he said, nodding at Madoc, whilst taking a final drag of his cigarette, and stubbing it out entirely in the ashtray.

"Believe me. It was tempting." The blonde muttered under his breath darkly before smiling and moving off to serve a different customer.
