Alucard nodded in agreement but didn’t say anything. He was running out of ammo and was struggling to find anymore in his pockets. He looked down to Azrael. With a pang of guilt in his mind, he drew one of Azraels swords.
“Sorry, I’ll borrow this for a moment. Desperate times called for desperate measures.” He explained, not sure if Azrael could hear him or not. He fired the last shotgun shell at the Demon, missing slightly and only grazing its leg. It stumbled angrily towards him. Alucard held the sword in front of him shakily, his posture completely wrong for sword play. The demon swung what looked like a giant axe down upon Alucard, who barely dodged in time. It took off part of his duster coat. Amusingly, the Demon seemed to have lodged the axe in the floor and couldn’t retrieve it. Alucard used this opportunity to thrust the sword towards the demon. The demon wasn’t stupid however and gave up on the axe and narrowly dodged the sword.
I don’t even know if this sword is blessed or not. This could be incredibly stupid for me to do, but anything to tie it up
Alucard saw a window of opportunity, just for a second. The demon appeared to be distracted by the others fighting and probably didn’t deem Alucard much of a threat. With this, Alucard bought the sword down at the Demons neck with all the strength he could muster. He sword cut through the neck like it wasn’t there and immediately the demon fell into ash. Alucard stood there, still holding the sword in front of him, looking stunned.

he stepped away from Azrael to join the others in their combat

Jaden smiled, "Only four left then"
He flicked one of his twin knives in the air and caught it by the tip. He then hurled it at one of the last remaining demons. It luckily stuck it heart and it was consumed in flames. Jaden rolled forward and collected his knife that lay on the floor where the demon had just fallen.

Adrienne sighted the distance between her and the nearest demon, then drew her sword, springing forward on the balls of her feet in a lunge that brought her within range as the demon turned to raise his arm and block her arcing sword with his mace.
"Well, a challenge at least." She murmured. The demon smiled then moving quickly swung the mace at her sword, connecting with the blade and shattering it before advancing on her as she drew her revolver.
"Oh.... I am royally screwed." She muttered as she raised the firearm in time to receive a roundhouse kick that sent her flying across the room to land hard at the bottom of a wall, she had enough time to swear mentally and with great vehemence before the darkness closed in on her.

As Austin's target punched at him, Austin caught the fist and stuck back with an elbow, sending his demon staggering. Using that moment, Austin turned, drew his sword and decapitated his target.
He paused to watch the others
"Want some help there hun?"
he called over to Ara

Kunoichi was having alittle more trouble with her demon than Austin, she ducked, dived and wheeled around sword strikes, the demon's blade grazing her suit on several occasions
I hate demons
As she ducked around and incoming sword strike her opening presented itself. Using one of her kunai like a throwing dagger she aimed it for the demon's head and let it go.
Caught between the eyes, the demon managed a shocked "wha..?" before disintegrating.

Leiana was enjoying herself with her prey. it had been a long time since she'd fought a demon of any calibur one on one.
She decided however it was time to finish the demon. Catching a high kick, she scythed the supporting foot away and plunged her dagger into the demon's abdomen.

Adrienne had only blacked out for a moment when the demon was on her. She lunged to the side just in time to avoid a swing of the mace the demon was carrying.
"A little help would be nice.." She dodged again just in time, grabbing her revolver and pulling the hammer back while dodging again.
Her finger tightened on the trigger before she backed into the wall, then she fired, watching the demon go up in holy fire.
She sagged against the wall, feeling various pains starting to kick in.

Ara smiled slightly, shaking her head to clear it completely.
"Ugh, I swear next time we do this I'm gonna be on medical duty. At least then I don't get quite as banged and bruised up." She said with a rueful laugh, rubbing the back of her head and letting out a small yelp as she felt the swelling there. She looked over at the shards of her sword and swore low and viciously.
"That's two this year." She growled, walking over and carefully picking up the razor sharp pieces of metal.

Alucard cut in.
“Commander, we don’t have the time to drag him all the way downstairs or anything.” He explained, looking down to Azrael. “I think we should just… hide him, if you know what I mean. Stuff him in a cupboard or… no, that’s mean.” He said to himself reconsidering. He thought for a short moment.
“…Lets take him downstairs to our guards. They can take him back to HQ or wherever” He said.

Jaden cut in. "Austin, I'll take him back to the HQ. It makes sense. We need to get him out of here and I'm the logical choice. When Azrael wakes up he's going to need to bite someone and it makes sense it should be me. We dont need anyone else turning into Vampires." Jaden paused.
"Anyway I think the time for assassins is over and I refuse to leave him here." Jaden said walked over to Azrael and bent to pick him up.

Austin considered for a moment
"we need all hands on deck here Jaden, if we don't there isn't going to be a world for him to get better in..."
he sighed
"Alucard is right, take him to the lobby, instruct the guards to take him to safety, tell them what's happened and then catch up with us"
why did it have to be his life i'd have to balance against everyone else's?
