"Captain!!" The youngest of the three snapped, glowering at him, "I hardly think this is the time to be bitching over the Circle!" He shouted, narrowing his eyes. He tended to get a little shouty when he was scared and a big ass Hell Boy wanna-bie with Hulk issues generally scared the shit out of him. "If you don't want it to step on people don't you think we should be trying to evacuate the civilians instead of running away like pussies!? No offence Miss Eleri." He added, hoping to avoid a smack on the head from the older woman. They did that whenever he said stuff like it, got annoying.

"Dammit, there's always time to be bitching over the Circle!" Wright snapped back, before being rudely interrupted by the roaring demon. He turned back to look at it, and decided maybe it should be 'there's almost always'.
"We don't have time to evacuate! This is Coal Mine Street, people only come here when there's nowhere else to go. If something bad is happening the centre of the city, we can't go that way, and we're at the edge. Somehow, I don't think we can go anywhere that that thing can't..." Wright reasoned. He figured that there was nowhere a bunch of civilians could get to that a fifty foot demon couldn't. He had a feeling that this was probably true.
"We need a plan. A way to stop it." He decided. "Lure it towards the police station! C'mon!" He began, despite having no idea what the rest of the plan was going to be...

Eleri glared at Hadrian, but nodded. "Right you are, sir!" She said, running back towards the demon and aiming her gun at it. She seriously doubted that it would do any damage, but she hoped it would get its attention. She fired three times, all of the bullets hitting the mark.
Her idea worked - the demon turned its head towards her. She backed away a few steps. The demon turned its back on her and she fired again, emptying the gun. This time the demon took a step towards her. She backed away until she reached Hadrian and Wright.
"I think we've got its attention now, sir." She informed Wright, keeping an eye on the slowly advancing demon and backing away. "Back to the station? Do we have anything holy there? Any blessed... anything?" She was well aware what a silly question it was.

"Well, I keep yelling 'Holy Mother of God' at the chair every time I stub my toe on it. Does that make it blessed?" Wright asked casually as he jogged towards the station. He tried not to look back at the demon, which was apparently now aware of them and following them.
He was running down the narrow Coal Mine Street, which was full of high tightly packed buildings, made to conserve space and let the richer people in the other parts of the city have more of it, and seemed to be thinking.
"Right! I've got a plan!" He decided. "I need some washing line, something heavy, a lighter and some weapons!"

Hadrian grunted, "Washing line?! Why not tangle it up in the powercables up there?!" He panted pointing to the various telephone lines and the like dangling haphazardly from phonepoles. There was no way they were going to find a washing line long enough to tangle up a Demon that size.

Wright paused, and turned with a look of genuine puzzlement on his face. "Why would I tangle it up?" He asked. Clearly, his plan didn't involve tangling anything up in anything.
That would have been far too sensible for Wright.
"No, has to be washing line. Or rope. Something that won't give a shock." He said quickly, still dashing towards the station. He was clearly already pretty far along in coming up with a particularly insane plan...

"You didn't think he'd think of something that simple, did you?" Eleri asked Hadrian jokingly.
She slowed down, allowing Wright to overtake her. She fumbled in her pocket and found a Zippo lighter. She flicked it open and sparked it - it took a try or two but then it caught and flamed. She snapped it shut again and called to Wright, speeding up again.
"Got you covered on the lighter front, sir!" She called. "I'm pretty sure I saw some rope in the station... weapons... what kind of weapons? We've got a candlestick, a stake and a 'peashooter', as far as I'm aware."

Wright counted on his fingers, as if this somehow helped the weapons get more deadly, thought for a moment, and shrugged. "Something that'll get that's attention." He pointed to the demon. "And I don't mean in the 'I might stand on you way'. We need it to really wanna kill us."
"Normally, I'd just talk to it for a bit. That usually does the trick." Wright admitted. "But right now, we need something a bit more effective. We should have a few things in the station. We do have a weapons cabinet. I think... It's behind that big pile next to the big pile, y'know, over from the big pile?" Wright had no problem with these as directions, apparently. "C'mon!"

Eleri sped up until she'd over taken Wright. The station was in sight - she just hoped that whatever Wright was planning would work.

((I am in your pubs. Stealing your threads I'll delete the post if you want me to Leigh, I just got really impatient and not a little bored sitting around on my own. I need a boyfriend. or a hamster, both are equally good conversationalists ;D jk)) Felix stared up at the freshly rebuilt pub, it held a certain air... one that was quite akin to that of its clientel, dragging one's self up after a drunken brawl, licking your wounds and back to business as usual. In all, it looked like this place had remained exactly the same as it always had save for a few places were there were obvious new bricks, new windows. Unfortunately the old sign was still shattered and splintered across the floor, Felix carefully toed some of the larger pieces to the side of the wall whefre some hapless drunk couldn't fall over them. He supposed it was about as good as he could expect, the little paper sign sticky-taped to the door was more helpful. ' HELP WANTED - BARSTAFF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NON-ESSENTIAL ENQUIRE WITHIN[/i] While Felix may not have had any experience working behind the bar, he had pulled enough pints, mixed enough drinks and been around more than a few drunkards to know how to handle such an environment, he grew up in one after all. Shouldering his backpack, the blonde stepped forward and pushed the door open and stepped into the gloom, his vampiric eyes already compensating for the lack of light as he looked around. The inside of the pub was a definite improvement over the outside, the floor had recently been replaced with fresh solid wood, the barstools were new and the padding fresh and soft, the bar was new as well, all the bottles behind the counter clean and the general area there a little better lit than the rest of the place. He was half expecting broken bottles to be strewn everywhere across the floor, the seats to be sticky with old alcohol and other..... things, and for mould to be growing in the corners of the drinking booths. As it was, the thin scent of fresh paint, old alcohol and bar smoke still filled his nostrils as he hesitantly made his way to the man stood behind the bar. There wasn't much in the way of clientel at the moment, a few nursing a pint or so in their delegated corners, no one gave him much of a look after he'd first stepped in. "Um, 'scuse me. I saw the sign outside, you still looking for someone to fill the position?" He asked the bartender, figuring he was the one he needed to speak to. The bar tender gave him an apprising once over, probably noting right off the bat that he was a Vampire, then his clothes, which weren't exactly what one would expect from the typical vamp in this area (He wore a red hoodie and a blue T-shirt, Vamp colours here tended to be predominantly black). "Aye, you know how to pull a pint boy?" He asked gruffly. Felix nodded, "Yes sir. I know mixers, cocktails, wines and just about any other alcoholic substance you can think of." He added, hiding the bitter tone of his voice surprisingly well. The fact his father had quite literally rotted his brain by swapping alcohol for blood disgusted him, he was surprised the man was still alive but figured that his mother was forcing him to drink something every now and again, like a good wife should. "Right, you got a place to stay?" Felix shook his head, "Right, there's an empty room above the bar. You're here on a two month probation kid, screw up and you're out on your ass and that weeks wages stay in my pocket. Got it?" he nodded again, "Good. Names Moe." he stated gruffly sticking a grubby hand out at the blonde vampire. "Felix." The blonde returned, shaking the man's hand firmly. "Right. Head on upstairs and ditch your stuff, first shift starts now while I show you the ropes of how things are done around here. You can faf around later." Moe told him gruffly, jerking a thumb at the door behind him to the right, "Your's is on the far left, next to the window." Felix nodded and quickly made his way upstairs, hardly daring to believe his good luck, a place to stay AND a job, all in the same hour? If he screwed this up he'd...... commit seppuku for being so stupid!

Felix sighed heavily pulling another pint and collecting the warm coins from the drunk's grubby hand and sticking them in the till.
Moe was sat on his left polishing a glass and listening to the bitching and moaning of another regular, Felix didn't bother listening in, it was the same thing David was whinging about last week. His wife leaving him and moving out of Edgehaven with the kids - smart woman.
The blonde leaned against the side and took a lazy look around the bar, things weren't doing so well, they had seen an increase in patrons but they were all setting up tabs, which was just another way of bumming drinks. Sheesh, maybe he should start calling a few of them in, subtly reminding these guys that yes, they did need to pay to rot their livers. Maybe it would deter them from doing so if he started? Who had the largest tab? Well that one was easy to answer, Captain Nicholas Wright of the Edgehaven PD, a man who had been conspiculously absent for the last two months, apparently he'd been busy rebuilding the Edgehaven Yard, the original police station in the centre of town. He was going dry.
Felix was torn between respect and confusion, didn't he know that setting up the police station at this point in time was..... well a suicide jaunt? And there was no way they could be funding this themselves, they had some kind of benefactor. He rolled his shoulder, well if the 'Night Watch' got themselves someone footing the bill he didn't see why the actual lawful organisation dedicated to justice instead of balance couldn't.

Madoc ran a hand through his hair, coming it out of the way. It was long enough to tie back, but he left it down most of the time, because he thought it made him look dashing. He'd shaved this morning, although not very well, because there was still a thin layer of stubble along his jawline and cheeks. Still, it gave him that rugged, manly look.
He walked into the Broken Bottle lazily, allowing the door to swing shut behind him. He wasn't sure what is was about the place that attracted him, but there was something. Possibly it was the people - there was usually an interesting story to be had, if not a true one.
Or possibly it was the way that most of the people in the pub shared his lack of enthusiasm or interest in the supernatural happenings of the town - far too many people in Edgehaven nowadays made a big fuss about the vampires. Or the lycans. Or the demons. Or the Circle, or rather Night Watch now, come to think of it. It was all just part of life in Edgehaven to Madoc, and he didn't see why so many people cared so much.
He sidled up to the bar where the new bartender was pulling a pint and looking decidedly bored by whatever it was the man in front of him was saying. Madoc paid no attention to the other customer, and waited until the bartender had finished, leaning on the bar.
That was another thing - none of the people in the small pub seemed fazed by the fact that the new bartender - what was his name, anyway? Felix or something... - was a vampire. Ok, one or two of them may not have noticed, but Madoc figured that if you lived in Edgehaven long enough, you learned to pick out vampires and lycans after a while. He didn't really care, as long as they could pull a decent pint.
"Pint, if you would, mate." He said once Felix had finished with the one he was doing, fishing in his pocket for some change.

The blonde nodded, "Comin' up." he announced easily as he grabbed another glass, checking to make sure it was clean before pulling the taps, holding the glass at an angle to reduce the amount of foam so he'd get a decent pint. He brushed a strand of hair aside and nodded at the appropriate points of the punter's whining as he waited for the glass to fill.
Finishing up the pint and sidling away from Dave while he was preoccupied sucking on a bottle again, he placed the drink in front of Madoc, "One twenty mate." He requested absently, yawning briefly and covering his mouth. Moe had mocked him mercilessly when he found out that he didn't cover his mouth to hide the fangs but because his Ma had practically pounded manners into him, he didn't do it for long after Felix swapped his shaving foam for foam cheese. His face was too busy breaking out into a rash.

"Slow day?" Madoc asked as he handed Felix the money. He drank from his glass and smiled, flashing his pearly teeth. That was another reason he came here - both the bartenders knew how to pull a decent pint.
He watched Felix carefully, watching the way the young vampire yawned. He looked bored. He glanced over at the other man propping up the bar - a drunk who he'd heard referred to as Dave - and turned back to Felix. He jerked his head in the direction of the drunk, causing his hair to fall into his eyes again. He brushed them away. "He still moaning about his wife?" He asked casually.
