Wright decided to waste no time, and gave out the orders.
"Right, Eleri, you take the financial district." He sure as hell wasn't going to go near anybody in a suit, and he figured Eleri had more tact than him or Hadrian combined and could probably help out there. Plus, it was near what was now left of the Devil's Advocates building, and the most badly damaged. But he had to admit he wouldn't be able to go running up and down tower buildings rescuing people in his current condition.
"Hadrian, you take the residential area. The bigger houses, ones that have suffered structural damage." The richer people who, again, would probably chase Wright out with a pitchfork. He figured Hadrian could probably blend in a little better there and do his job.
"I'll take Coal Mine Street and the surrounding area." Wright wasn't about to leave his home turf to anybody else. And it had been badly damaged by the one giant rampaging demon.
Oh, and pretty badly smashed when some idiot decided to blow up the police station...

Wright's personal efforts throughout the evening didn't go as swimmingly well as perhaps they could have. Heroically storming into damaged houses and yelling "Is everybody alright!? Anybody hurt!?" only to get a reply of "Yes, you! Quickly, we have to get you to a hospital!" every time really made his job hard.
He briefly considered changing into a clean uniform that wasn't covered in blood, but then he realised he only owned one uniform so that wasn't going to help.
Coincidencially, he only owned one set of clothes too.
He did manage to help a few injured, and might have had to jump out of two or three ambulances as they tried to take him away, but overall, he discovered that most of Coal Mine Street were already helping each other.
He'd be touched if he knew they weren't searching each other's houses for valuables at the same time...

Hadrian perhaps had a little more success than his Captain, he knew the majority of people in this area by name if only out of nessessity, he also wasn't hampered by the fact he was injured and people kept trying to cart him off to the hospital.
In all, his area of town was largely undamaged, a few houses were in absolute ruins, but compared to some of the buildings closer to the centre of town they were top contestants for a beauty contest by comparison. He did find out that his mother and sister were alright, they'd had a bit of a problem with a vampire breaking in to get out of the way and then thinking to try and grab a quick meal - Elizabeth had him unconscious on the carpet from where she'd walloped him around the skull with the butt of her shotgun, Hadrian didn't bother to ask why she hadn't shot it, she knew that the Captain would frown on it and didn't want to get into trouble, silly woman. They were now helping him dig through the wreckage looking for survivors of the more destroyed houses.

((Sorry for the long lack of posting, combination of busy + not being home + just being lazy XD))
Eleri nodded and headed off at a slow run, shooting the captain and Hadrian a concerned glance as she went. She knew they'd be alright, but her inner mother just couldn't help but worry. As she got nearer to the main business part of town, she slowed to a walk.
Personally, she thought she'd got the lighter job, because despite the fact that this part of the city was the worst damaged (and looking around, she didn't doubt that it was - it looked as though a whirlwind had ripped through and been followed by a bomb), it wasn't a largely residential area, so there were going to be fewer casualties.
She turned a corner and was met by a young man staring at the Devil's Advocates. "Are you alright?" She asked him cautiously. "I'm fine." He replied. He took his eyes off the building and looked at Eleri, grinning. "I just met the Circle! How cool is that?" "That's... great." Eleri replied, unenthusiastically. "Listen, why don't you go home, hmmm? It's not a good idea to be out at the moment." "But you're out... besides, I want to wait for the Circle to come out!" "I'm a police sergent, it's my job to be out when it's not safe." Eleri replied tartly. "And I don't think hanging about for the Circle is such a great idea either." She gave the young man a Look. "Is it?" She asked pointedly.
The young man opened his mouth to reply, thought better of it and slunk away with a meek "Yes, ma'am."
Ma'am. Thought Eleri. It comes to something when people start calling you ma'am. She shook her head and walked away to search the rubble.
((Heh I borrowed Jaden's "Circle Fanboy" from the DA. Hope he doesn't mind.))

Eleri glanced at her watch. It was about time she headed back to the station to meet Hadrian and the captain. It suprised her how fast time passed when you were rescuing people. Not that there'd been many to rescue, but there were always a few.
She took a last look around, listening carefully and decided that she'd done all she could at the moment and headed back towards Coal Mine street.
